... if there is a law to be amended it should be the one that allows a few people control of gambling in the country. It should be nationalized and managed by a non-Bahamian entity with experience doing the same.
"*But I can say, I welcome his willingness to come forward to help and build this country.*”
Undermining the work ethic, creating a generation of gambling addicts, siphoning off the resources from "over the hill" creating more poverty and hardship for poor Bahamians is not nation building. Of course I could be wrong!
... now sure what we have too celebrate unless the rate at which our moral, social, spiritual, economic and patriotic decline has taken place is a good thing! And to think, we can't blame the "white" man for it!
... not sure why Bahamians celebrate "Independence". Wealthy foreigners and Haitians have been greater beneficiaries of what this country has to offer than Bahamians. Successive governments have mismanaged the economy! The national debt enslaves us to other countries and we have morally, spiritually and economically slipped near to a point of no return, and yet people want to celebrate independence?? Bahamians are as simple as our early Arawak inhabitants, and it is only a matter of time before we become co-partners in their fate!
"*Mr Rolle appealed the decision, arguing that the punishment was too harsh. He admitted that his handling of the matters fell short of professional standards but insisted that disbarment was excessive.*"
... so he not only wants to commit the crime, but determine the punishment as well? He should be in jail!!
... this criminal believes self service is national service! And the PLP rewarded him for that twisted thinking! If there was to be a lottery in the Bahamas, it should not have been handed to five guys who broke the law and had their records expunged! Bahamians getting goosied again!
... Minnis is a narcissistic wrecking ball! People forget how many died from dengue under his Minister of Health tenure, and many more died from covid than should have if his policies didn't cause large crowds from panic shopping, multiple times. He is a certified more-on!
