"*A variant significantly more transmissible than Delta would be a very serious threat indeed*."
Just because something is more easily transmitted does not mean its mortality rate is higher! This is evidenced by the fact that the beta strain was more contagious than alp[ha, but didn't cause more deaths and there are no known deaths from this variant at this time!
But the real question is what is their plan if and or when a more deadly strain arises!
... why doesn't the government offer free antibody testing for those who did not get the shots. That would go a long way in identifying those who may not need or can justify not having to take the endless shots!
... a sad story, but every story has two sides and we are only getting one with a lot of gaps. If she is convinced there was negligence then take legal action, but these matters should not be tried in the court of public opinion, because you are allowing people who have even less facts than you do to jump to conclusions. Not helpful for anyone!
... so called "vaccinations" will not end this pandemic as shown with delta variant and the vaccinated. The efficacy of the shots dropped from 90+% to around 40% against delta variant, not to mention the need for repeated booster shots. People are still getting infected despite the shots and because they are less sick they become vectors of spread. It is pointless having a conversation about herd immunity until people start to discuss the superior role of natural immunity in this pandemic.
... actually, 6 months is when the "vaccinated" are most likely to be vulnerable to covid because of falling antibody levels. The next wave will be among the so called "vaccinated", because that is the trend in highly "vaccinated countries". People sill do not realize they have been duped!
... our healthcare system is an abysmal failure because those who lead it are incapable of independent thought, they simply copycat what other countries are doing instead of thinking about how to solve problems!! Sad!
... the best anti- crime strategy is a strong, stable family with responsible parents who teach sound moral values and respect for others to their children! Learning respect for authority begins at home, and none of that has anything to do with government!
... the solution is to increase the value employees bring to an employer. A functionally illiterate 21 year old with 2 children and a high school diploma realistically does not have much value to offer an employer! Increasing the minimum wage only increases employee hardship and increases unemployment as employers lay off staff and overwork those who remain!
This country is reaping the fruit of living without moral values, self discipline and an understanding personal responsibility. When uneducated children have children with reckless abandon with no social structure, the country will be converted into a ghetto filled with angry, substance addicted abusers. We have no one to blame but ourselves, for these are the seeds we sowed!
