... I hope Bahamians are smart enough to vote against career politicians. They have all the answers when in Opposition, but are dismal failures at implementing beneficial policies and they grow fat at the teat of the public treasury and under the table deals. People need to leave their emotions out of voting!
... yep, not interested in what they have to say. They all played games with elections when they were in power and they are all responsible for this being a 4th world country! Can't believe these losers get a pension!
... that is speculative! We do not know if these persons died WITH or FROM covid. It seems to me these deaths are being recorded before autopsies and as a result the numbers are inflated. I would expect a more concise breakdown including pre-existing medical conditions, smokers etc. in the reporting. Throwing everything in one basket is unscientific and unacceptable!
This is not about Minnis or "Brave", the rational thing to do is to not vote for any person who has "served" in any capacity in teh government or opposition for more than 10 years (MP, Senate etc). Let a new leader emerge out of what remains!
Politics should not be a career, but an opportunity for national service. When that time ends people should go back to their lives. Career politicians breed corruption and are the reason democracy is in tatters all over the world!
... it seems more sensible to not have officers from different households driving around in the same car with windows up and AC on! It seems the basic principles of how the virus spreads escapes those in authority!
Based on the Johns Hopkins global covid tracker the global mortality rate from covid sits at 2%. Without vaccinations 98% of people who get covid recover! In some countries the number is much lower, so the question really is what are we doing for people after they get infected and are our deaths a reflection of inadequacies in the healthcare system?
