I don't want the PLP to replace the FNM, but can the FNM please have a change in leadership! The MP's in the FNM need a dose of testosterone!

Great to be civic minded, but I am surprised the Tribune printed those pictures with not one mask in sight!!

... cases may be spiking because most people spreading the infection have no symptoms. Remember Simeon Hall went to hospital for one thing and with a routine test was found to be positive. Do you think contact tracing tracked down every person he was in contact with for the previous week?

Secondly, many people do not wear masks properly This means that a person can get infected outside the home and then spread will take place among people who are close to each other and are not wearing masks. For instance how many people do you think wear masks at home with relatives?

... COVID is not the PM's fault, a failure to properly address the problem is. The government, not the people of the Bahamas has failed to use widespread antigen or antibody testing for months now. The government has failed at contact tracing and has failed to remove the partition between the public and private health care sectors to properly address the problem. It has not only contributed to the spread to covid (by impromptu lockdowns), allowing flights to family islands from places of active disease but to the devastation of the economy as well!

@SP... your response makes it clear that you do not understand what is going on! There is a clear difference in approach between countries that have had some success and others that have not. Many have been making common sense suggestions, both to address the spread of covid and its reduce the economic impact, for months to no avail.

The only way not to get this virus is to not breathe! As I write this there is still a limited ban on the importation of certain masks in this country. Does that suggest they are doing their best?? And BTW there are many who have recovered from this disease without the vitamin recommendations you have made and there are those who have died despite the best treatment so it is unfair to suggest that various vitamins are a panacea!

The lack of organizational efficiency suggests that the doctors are better at talking than doing! We are among the worse in the world at managing this problem. They are like a dog chasing its tail.
Seven months into this thing and we still don't know what is actually being done for patients, testing has not improved, antibody testing has not been included and contact tracing has failed miserably. This entire exercise has been an absolute failure for which no one has been fired yet!
We need nation wide antibody testing so that those who have already recovered from this disease can go back to work.

What hyperbolic, propagandist drivel! There are enough American blacks who know Trump that have refuted the idea that he is racist (Mike Tyson, Herschel Walker etc). How can he be a xenophobe when he has married more than one non-American?

I would be willing to put up with a mans personal defects if he produced results in the best interests of the country. Ask yourself what a black man like Minnis has done for a country full of blacks? That seems like a more salient question for which the answer is pain and misery!

We have an idiotic government that has mishandled this pandemic from the very beginning! I said five months ago that if we used antibody testing, we could allow those who had the disease and recovered from it to go back to work allowing certain segments of the economy to gradually reopen. But no we are still stuck on stupid!

Every Bahamian who purchases from Amazon should consider signing up with SmileAmazon to allow a percentage of their purchases to go to Samaritans Purse at no extra cost to themselves. They have come to our aid twice within a one year period. This is a way for us to help ourselves by helping them!

Nothing that requires choice or substitutions should be sold curbside. Business should be allowed to control entry to persons who are wearing masks!
