Arawak Cay should be curbside only for now in order to avoid crowding. Once people start drinking and eating their reduced inhibitions can only result in socializing. If they start talking about politics or junkanoo, people will be in each other faces without masks without even realizing it.

Let patrons call in their orders and pick it up curbside!

... my only point was that some of these issues are more complex than many would let on. We live an an age of propaganda where those with the largest megaphones and wallets are able to shape human thought and consequently human behavior with their perceptions of truth.
Can we make decisions to make things better, of course, but the issue at the heart of all inequality in the world is self-centeredness or self interest. Man is hardwired for it and that is why no economic system can create true equality. That is why people will exploit both human and natural resources for their own benefit. Only a change of heart can alter the cataclysmic course mankind is on because of that. Education can help, but it is only a band-aid because self interest always oozes through . How the heart of man can change is a separate discussion.

... you know well that the issue is **not** people coming to the Bahamas to work. The larger issue is people coming here **illegally** to compete for jobs with legal residents and citizens. Vast difference!

While people talk about seal level rise and man made 'global warming', nobody talks about new island formation, increased subaquatic volcanic activity causing melting of polar ice or plate tectonic activity in the whole equation. But I bet the issue is a simple man made problem that will be solved by more solar panels and electric vehicles!!

Too many left vulnerable and it is likely infection rates will increase.

Government should consider, in addition to what is already proposed:

Food stores should be open 7 days per week

One designated shopper should be enforced for all business (people should not be roaming through stores in groups of two or more).

Government must get rid of these ridiculous poorly fitting cloth masks that offer no protection to those who wear them and encourage the use of surgical masks or another equivalent

Police should screen cars to ensure that more than one passenger is not in a vehicle without proper cause

Antibody testing should be implemented since there is now ample evidence that it is unlikely for a person to get this infection twice so people who have already had this infection can get back to work https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/22/he...">https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/22/he...

Those having COVID parties or other mass gatherings should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law

Buses should be allowed to run at 50% capacity (if profitable to them) with windows down

Government should make no further decisions without first consulting the people, since they lack the ability to think rationally.

We don't need another lockdown just smarter more sensitive decision makers.

This was well crafted political theater to save his political hide. He knew another lockdown could have resulted in an uproar and more internal stress in the FNM.

We will continue to have deaths almost on a daily basis for some time because of those already infected and it is also likely that some Bahamians will not use discretion and continue to social distance.

People still do not understand the concept of having a designated shopper. Today, I had to walk around several sets of couples strolling through the grocery store like they on vacation. It is guaranteed that the number of cases will increase. So sad!!

I can only hope business owners impose standards to ensure that their businesses are not jeopardized and forced to close again.

@Cobalt... and despite the global nature of the pandemic different countries have had different experiences based on how they approached the same problem. Consequently, there is a direct correlation between specific actions taken and spread of the virus.

... Swedens approach resulted in it having 2-3 times as many deaths compared to other Nordic countries. They were willing to allow their population to be exposed to the risk of death in order to protect the economy. That is immoral in any language!
