Food stores should be open 6 days per week until 7 pm
One designated shopper should be enforced
Government must get rid of these ridiculous poorly fitting cloth masks that offer no protection to those who wear them and encourage the use of surgical masks or another equivalent
Police should screen cars to ensure that more than one passenger is not in a vehicle without proper cause
Antibody testing should be implemented since there is now ample evidence that it is unlikely for a person to get this infection twice so people who have already had this infection can get back to work https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/22/heal…
Those having COVID parties or other mass gatherings should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law
Buses should be allowed to run at 50% capacity (if profitable to them) with windows down
Fish vendors and roadside vendors should be allowed to return to work with masks on. Outdoors customers should maintain social distancing and wear masks at all times.
Hubert Minnis should resign and be relocated to an isolated cay near Inagua without wi-fi or cell service
Government should make no further decisions without first consulting the people, since they lack the ability to think rationally.
We don't need another lockdown just smarter more sensitive decision makers.
@242in404... ah, a Bahamian in Atlanta. Maybe you are not aware that there are people who have not worked for five months and many have no electricity, so there is nowhere to store perishables!! Some people need to visit the store more than once weekly!
If staff for Solomon's could have permission to shop so should those at Super Value. If Super Value staff could have a day to shop so should the general public!
Some people have not worked for almost five months. You then close down the country 8 pm at night before many working people have had a chance to get to the grocery store, denying citizens access to food and water while threatening them with arrest and fines?? Not smart at all.
Many people have not worked for almost 5 months so far and the 'cure' has created a worsening of the problem. Many are being forced to break the law just to try and survive!
A measure of intelligence is needed to navigate the many issues that this viral threat has presented. Sadly, we will not find it in the competent authority or the leadership at the Ministry of Health. They lack the ability to think critically and will soon learn that more of the same cannot work!
Meanwhile those at the Getaway restaurant got away with breaking rules while serving policemen and the general public! You have to be connected to get away with crime in this country!
