In the age of COVID-19, rising death rates and unemployment and the near implosion of our economy, does anyone really care how a poisonous frog dies? Asking for a friend!
I suspect hotel workers, taxi and bus drivers, fishermen, roadside vendors and many others are doing far worse than lawyers! Only those on government pensions, active politicians grocery store owners are not feeling the pinch!
Strangely enough he failed to mention one hurricane shelter government built above sea level to withstand a category 4-5 hurricane just in case someone needed one. He also failed to mention what the government learned from Dorian and the steps it has taken and equipment it has acquired to mitigate destruction and recovery after a hurricane. Oh well!
... those least deserving of power are those who crave it the most as Sands, Symonette and Butler do. They have their own agendas and Sands showed through his dealings with Butler during that convention that he cannot be trusted. When he then cut a deal and sided with Minnis he showed that he is willing to do whatever it takes to advance his **personal** political agenda! He further reinforced his untrustworthiness and political naivety with Swabgate.
The FNM has no outstanding political talent, but sometimes nature should take its course and in this case the deputy leader should become the leader until the next convention!
... yes, electing a senile man who used taxpayer money to cover his sons financial misdeeds in a foreign country, said he was running for the Senate, confused his wife and sister, does better in polls when he keeps his mouth shut and who can't string words together coherently **with** a teleprompter will certainly elevate the office of the POTUS!! Thanks for the laugh!!
... actually a bigger issue as I have posted before is that there are people who have already had the virus, have antibodies to it and are immune to it so far. With over 17 million cases of infection in the world there are no clear, confirmed cases of people getting the infection twice, which means people who are unlikely to become infected again are being locked down and are being forced to be unproductive. People are being forced not to be able to make a living. It is insane!
@moncurcool... Agree with all points, including dumping Minnis!
In addition, when you and when factor in increasing layoffs reducing NIB contributions and increasing NIB workers benefits, WHILE reducing VAT collections from reduced sales from closed businesses, the government is basically screwing itself. In addition the water producer Consolidated Water cannot get government to make significant payments on bills already owed. Makes one wonder just how long this will go on before the essential service of potable water may become a problem!

This is demeaning and dehumanizing and it puts people at unnecessary risk, especially when other options to make payment are available.
