... just 50 years ago, both children born out of wedlock and their parents were frowned upon. Today it is the norm with all of the social ills it causes. At what point does personal responsibility come into the picture. No white person from 75 years ago influences my decisions today. Bahamians chose to reject the Judeo-Christian values that created character and integrity and it has been all downhill since then! Sorry Kevin!

The owner of this business sounds like an entitled ... well , let's just say he believes he should get to live by another set of rules, while his business serves as an incubator for spread of this virus! Other business owners who violated orders were hauled before the courts and fined, how come he has not shared their experience?

This is political mischief and nothing more. Sands conveniently forgets that he did not do such a good job in changing the trajectory of the virus early on either (although he talked a good game) and was instrumental in the poorly executed early lock-downs that did not work. In addition, he should not talk about abuse of authority since that is exactly what cost him his job with Swabgate!

.. that under the cloud of a possible election, Minnis would rather make decisions that would placate people and encourage more deaths than find intelligent solutions to actually help curb the spread of the virus. Would you want to go to a gym with people huffing and puffing while wearing their masks improperly for instance?? Why make that possible?

... because only jokers would offer themselves for national 'service' without personal accomplishments and actual real world experience not based on political or family connections!!

@DWW ... how is the curve flat if infection rates and deaths are at an all time high compared with 2 months ago? Can you plot a graph?

As more people get sick and die almost daily and the morgue is out of space and contact tracing can't keep up with actual cases, he decides things are getting better and allows more people to mix in closed spaces. This is not leadership but an act of attrition for political preservation at the cost of lives!

What is laughable is that he doesn't realize he was elected in an anti-PLP wave. It had nothing to do with what he as a person had to offer. A mangy dog could have won that seat. In other words, his political career is over!!

... so where are the homes that were in the Mudd and Pigeon Pea if building standards do not matter? Why would this country even have shanty towns if the laws were equally applied to all? What about construction taking place on other peoples property? In the Bahamas, we cannot have one set of rules for Bahamians and another for those from a different community.

The real question is whether or not the police were on duty at the time of the shooting. If they were not, how is that the business of the RBPF? The lawyer must be getting a nice percentage of the hoped for award.
