There should be a standing order that bodies left more than 30 days will be cremated with the bill sent to the next of kin! Can't these guys solve any problems?

If Bahamians could build structures when and where they wanted in this country then we would not be as economically disadvantaged compared to illegals!

The government was handed a golden opportunity to solve the Haitian problem in Abaco and they have failed miserably!

Seems more sensible to do antibody testing on a larger percentage of the population. Those who have already been infected with the virus don't need a vaccine! Then give it to the politicians first and wait two weeks. If no deaths or illness then consider the elderly and those with medical conditions who are antibody negative next!

Sorry, I don't want a rushed vaccine during a pandemic on the decline. All politicians and lawyers should get one though! Competent authorities should get two!

Why is D'Aguilar & Co. still drawing a salary for what is essentially a nonfunctional ministry? They will get one years pay for the equivalent of 3 months work!

Sat in a long line at road traffic for three hours yesterday only to have them put one person at the front of the line to say they are closed until Monday because of the rain! After almost 50 years of independence we cannot inspect and license cars when it rains. Only to leave there and have the power go out upon arriving home. Still can't figure out why I love this country!

So many fallacious arguments in the above article, but here is one fact, humans have always divided themselves into groups based on certain similarities or needs! It is no different today and nothing can change until people are prepared to stop compartmentalizing the evil acts of humans against other humans into convenient boxes, eg racism, for public consumption. Are the killings of unarmed black men in this country by black police officers racist? Does the label matter to the dead? Blacks kill other blacks in record numbers but little is said. Why is it more evil for someone of another race to abuse you than someone of your own race? Why shed more light on one as opposed to the other? Acts of evil need to be called what they are without the moniker of racism being attached, for as long as people elevate their ethnicity above their humanity and the humanity of others, division will continue unabated.

This article adds some perspective to the perceived inequity in police/black interactions:
