Fitzgerald ought to resign, yes - but not because of cutting those paychecks. Instead he should resign because of the horrible conditions of many schools, esp. those that were not ready to open on the first school day.
This from a govt that claimed to be "ready to govern on day one". They can't even fix a screen in a school window during a 2 1/2 month summer holiday.
Too bad you're ONLY a citizen of this country. You are not entitled to this kind of information. Your job (like mine) is to SHUT UP and wait until 2017 and then show up and mark your "X" for the set that spend the most money on beer and fried chicken. Then go back to shutting up again, after that. No insult intended for you - I am in the very same boat. We all are. Slavery remains alive and well, just under another name. A famous quote once said "The best slave is one who does not know he is a slave". But now they're giving us "Majority Rule Day" on Jan 10th, like a pacifier in a baby's mouth.
That's why after 6 years (the act was drafted in 2007) and the clear inability to list who these national heroes are - they decided to just go ahead and have it without any heroes to name.
They also set it up to make a gigantic mistake in the near future; Christie said "living or dead". Everyone knows you should NEVER name anyone to such a lofty post as this (like a Saint really) until a few years after they are dead - this give time for "the truth and" various scandals to come to light and be debated in the public arena before somebody makes a fool of themselves.
As long as someone is alive (no matter how fabulous they are today) they have the potential to turn themselves into a gigantic disgrace (like many drug using sports stars, justin bieber, etc) - and then everyone will say "man, we shoulda never name dat one" - but it's too late then.
Each of the 7 days will then have to be only 5 hours and 43 minutes long.
Go to work at 9:13am and get off at 3:30pm (with an hour lunch in there).
I guess this would be good for parents picking up kids from school.
The church (aka Bahamas Christian Council) probably will protest the work on Sunday part, and the 7th-Day Adventists will kick-up about the Saturday, but the tourists will enjoy being able to buy a tube of toothpaste on a Sunday.
It's a tough call. The kids probably won't like being in school on the weekends, though, cause I'm sure people would complain if the teachers were in there on Sat & Sun, but the kids were home.
They need to start some heavy taxing on the operations at the maternity ward at PMH. Why can't they tax that? There's PLENTY money to be made there, for sure.
No birth certificate from the Registrar General until your "Birth Tax" is aid - $900/baby. No birth certificate? then no school registration and no passport.
So did Mrs. Hannah-Martin order the runway lights "immediately". Does anyone know the P.O. #? Does anyone have a Fedex tracking #? Does anyone know the name of the company they were ordered from? Does anyone know the name of a technician who is going to install them when they arrive, and is he/she there or in Nassau?
Fedex tracking #? Date or order? Date shipped ? These are SIMPLE facts that can be provided. But, or course, we the people deserve none of that. Just eat our chicken and drink our beer every 5 years and mark our "X". The rest of the time, just shut-up and stay stupid.
No, police are not on the hunt for these murderers. Instead they are out seizing marijuana and trying to arrest petty little pot smokers to fill out prisons with them - so they can look good in the eyes of the Christian Council.
Murderers, rapists, tourist attackers, arsonists, bank robbers - all of them can rest easy - we don't have time to bother with them. That green grass stuff is our biggest problem (according to prison population).
Leader Minnis, I'm sure, would NOT be willing to endorse a Law to prevent this and all future PM's from also being Finance Minister (or any other minister) at the same time. They only want to stop Perry - but when he gets in he will see no problem being PM and Min of Finance.
Also, I'm sure, he would NOT be willing to support a Law to give shadow ministers FULL access to the country's finances or any other information about the actual running of the country (such as Treaties we are about to sign, etc.) This is because when they get in power in 2017 they will want to be the new dictators just like the current dictators.
Sorry, Minnis, unless you are willing to support true democracy you will have to wait in line for your turn to be King.
