I have never screamed for an athlete so much, (other than an American) as much as I screamed for Shaunae. That was Outstanding!!!! The Bahamas should be so very proud!!!!!
I am sure it was a uncomfortable for the students but it sounds like the staff made attempts to make things as comfortable as possible. I think it was nice that refreshments were offered and they told the students they would stay until the very last student was taken care of. That is going above and beyond, imho.
Tuger, I respectively disagree. Law enforcement is much more than the police departments. It is also the prosecutors and esteemed judiciary that are also responsible for enforcing the laws of the land. Any one, without the complete cooperation of the other two, will result in cataclysmic failure. The social and business communities must also step up and help address the problem as well as communities. Think Neighborhood Watches for example.
If Baha Mar had been afforded the opportunity to go into bankruptcy, China would have been forced to negotiate. Once the Bahamian courts protested, this was guaranteed to happen. What a sad day for a wonderful country and their wonderful people.
Everyone should give what they can to help out the people who have lost everything to this horrible storm. Your country is beautiful and your friends and neighbors need your help. Please give what you can to the charity of your choice.
I am from the U.S and I do not want our government owning your country. I love the Bahamas and am so afraid that things are changing and it will not be pleasant. Think Hong Kong. It is so very, very sad. You are your own country and your own people and to see this happening is sickening. The Chinese are telling your PM what to do and he is doing it. Bought and paid for.
