Um, last I checked, numbers houses were thriving. We would be foolish not to profit from it! Don't you guys get tired of quoting from a book cobbled together by many writers, thousands of years ago? What has a guide to Iiving in the middle east 2000 years ago (when the height of technology was a horse and cart) to do with us, here, today? Why not prop up our appalling educational system with numbers house profits? Why not fund community centres with the money? People are going to spend the money whether we gain from it or not. Get with the programme, people. And stop abusing caps lock, it makes you look like a moron.
Taking money from the pockets of establishments catering to those who seek a night out on the town is NOT the answer. Bahamians and tourists alike deserve to blow off some steam on the weekends without being policed as to how late they can stay out. That is a ridiculous suggestion.
This snake was a brown racer, a docile snake native to the Bahamas. Sometimes when threatened they flare a small hood. I suspect that this was in response to being attacked with rocks and not the other way round. Cobras, native to the Old World tropics, are unlikely to be found here. I hope The Tribune uses this as a chance to educate their readers about our native snakes and their needless slaughter.

Step 1: Legalise gambling. It is implicitly legal already as there are numbers houses everywhere. "island Luck"? Who needs luck at a web cafe?
Step 2: Funnel the profits into our sorry educational system.

Good to hear things like this are happening. Maybe Blu should strive to be an events venue, because as a restaurant it is appalling.
