A beautiful old building. Sad that the owners allowed it to deteriorate to such a run down condition. Where is our Bahamian pride? The whole of Bay Street looking pretty grim these days.
I live near Hopetown, Abaco moreso since Hurricane Dorian. There is less fishing here now for obvious reasons. Fewer tourists, Covid, and less time to fish for most everyone because we are all working to bring our businesses and families back. I have seen more large bull and tiger sharks than EVER before. And, since Dorian, there are fewer turtles. I hope that my humble observation does not go on deaf ears. And, I certainly hope that one of these monsters doesn’t devour one of my grandchildren.
Where is the Bahamas National Trust? They reserved land as Parks on the West side (of Andros) and this oil exploration is a stones throw away from this pristine, untouched ecosystem that so few really know about...Mr. Carey?
Sadly, Government will not respect the Bahamian fishermen, lodge owners and environmentalists, because there is more money for Minnis in the possible discovery of oil.
Samaritan’s Purse helped Abaconians tremendously. They are a God-send. Am I the only Abaconian who appreciates SP? It is just sad that our Government cannot provide care to the people.
