About time!

OK great so how fast is this application process and where is the info on HOW to apply? Where is the link to the forms & who / what ministry is responsible for processing?!

About time someone else challenged this, good for Atlantis!

As for our 'leaders'...Stop selling the us short and invest in bahamians!
Look at the long-term view to get cash in our hands & not the sweet-talkers that just take & take, and want incentives to invest, and then never return any proper revenue back to the Bahamas.

Thank you!
Somebody could have died in that fire, and imagine if it was instigated by those who have been crying out for “vigilante action” over shanty towns and calling on people to take matters into their own hands and tear shanty towns down.

Then what would happen would they be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law?

RE: Maybe they could tell us what else we can do, but we know that we are doing all that we can,” Mr. Davis said last month.

- Clean up the Immigration department, train the staff there and make them more efficient, accountable, and a lot faster at processing applications. Have a post in Inagua that can process peoples applications. That would be a good start!

If Haitians could come and go more efficiently & safely, they would take money back home to Haiti, that would help them get back on their feet.

The Bahamas relies on Haitian workers, whether you want to acknowledge that or not, it is a fact!

Maybe if they actually sent invoices to their customers more people would pay said invoice!

Our Postal system is totally broken and so the Real Property Tax invoice should be emailed. Its hard to find how much you actually OWE.

Just try getting someone to pick up a phone on there automated answering service, or answer an email. Just try it.... I'll wait.

The nations kitty is paying thousands of civil servants to do Nothing.

There for the grace of GOD!

I am horrified by the average Bahamians response to the plight of Haiti & of Haitians.

Seriously, one Dorian on New Providence and we would all become climate refugees. That is an undisputable fact.
And just one term of an inept & corrupt government could make our economy crash and we could all be living life just like Haiti.
Bahamians are always saying we are friendly people, who live in a Christian nation, God fearing, Good people, with more churches and preachers than there are weeks in a year. Yet he we are, spouting unkind, xenophobic vitriol.

We hire Haitians to do all the jobs we don't like, working class Bahamians think its normal to have maids and gardeners for example.
Whilst Haitians struggle to exist, they cant get legal work permits in a timely manner and without having to 'Tip'.
Our own bureaucracy and corruption in government sectors has contributed to the plight of our neigbiours and relatives in Haiti. (As many Bahamians are related to Haitians and don't even know it!) If they could work and travel without fear there would be more money going back there and so Haiti would be better off financially.

It is unethical when a lawyer knowingly accepts worthless lawsuits. But we have far too many shady lawyers around, they know they are not giving good advice and they know they are representing someone who is purposely wasting court time & doesn't stand a chance of winning in court. But, they are happy to take money off a client because the case will drag on. Best thing a judge can do is throw it out with the caveat that this case is not brought back.

Absolutely outstanding!
Well done Mr Wiberg, this was meant to be, those wreaks were waiting for you!
And I’m glad it was you who found them.
Now they will be remembered and the voids in our history filled with the information you have so diligently amassed.
We owe you a debt of gratitude!
