There for the grace of GOD!

I am horrified by the average Bahamians response to the plight of Haiti & of Haitians.

Seriously, one Dorian on New Providence and we would all become climate refugees. That is an undisputable fact.
And just one term of an inept & corrupt government could make our economy crash and we could all be living life just like Haiti.
Bahamians are always saying we are friendly people, who live in a Christian nation, God fearing, Good people, with more churches and preachers than there are weeks in a year. Yet he we are, spouting unkind, xenophobic vitriol.

We hire Haitians to do all the jobs we don't like, working class Bahamians think its normal to have maids and gardeners for example.
Whilst Haitians struggle to exist, they cant get legal work permits in a timely manner and without having to 'Tip'.
Our own bureaucracy and corruption in government sectors has contributed to the plight of our neigbiours and relatives in Haiti. (As many Bahamians are related to Haitians and don't even know it!) If they could work and travel without fear there would be more money going back there and so Haiti would be better off financially.
You Reap What You Sow.

It is unethical when a lawyer knowingly accepts worthless lawsuits. But we have far too many shady lawyers around, they know they are not giving good advice and they know they are representing someone who is purposely wasting court time & doesn't stand a chance of winning in court. But, they are happy to take money off a client because the case will drag on. Best thing a judge can do is throw it out with the caveat that this case is not brought back.

Bahamas Government can help anytime they want, by reducing their taxes on gas.

And in the grad scheme of things, this would benefit the government as well.

Why is nobody pushing / reporting this?

The Bahamas Postal System is the most inept postal 'service' on planet earth!

DNA kits are posted all over the planet, what a bunch of absolute incompetent's. Whoever is Our Postmaster General or Acting as, needs to give back every cent of their paycheck to the Bahamian people.

You can't even get people to put their garbage in the trash instead of the side of the road.

I fear this country is doomed, people behaving selfishly everywhere you look, their children will reap what they sow, and it wont be pretty.

Just such sad state of affairs, everyone just passing the buck. But passing the buck is a way of life in a bureaucracy such as ours.

Whoever signed this inmate out to do work at a 'Gas Station' might as well have been signing his death certificate.
A hitman out for revenge shouldn't have such easy access. (Google the victims name and you will get the gist)
Still, heads should roll at the prison and the justice department, the FBI should be involved, this is a very bad message being sent to the Bahamian Public and the world.
