My condolences to the families. I can't imagine the heart wrenching pain they must be going through.

You could be the best mother in the world but a crime filled society can take that child from you in the blink of an eye.

This is the horror we reap when crime is out of control, will it escalate?

Parents please Talk to Your Children, we all know the government has dropped the ball on crime and education, but we also should not expect the govenment to raise our children. It takes us all...even if it is not your child try and help any child you see that is in need of guidance.

Most of the radio talk show hosts are bloody awful, illiterate, uninspiring, whining windbags.

We need some younger more intelligent forward thinking radio hosts, ones that have innovative ideas and solid solutions to the nations social ills and that call-out the injustices going on, hosts that will help the people and the country prosper.

1: Get Better Teachers from Overseas. And or, Pay existing teachers more money, Teach them How to Teach and give them the resources needed to do a better job.
2: Get Parents out of the gambling shops and involved in their children's lives.

You can plainly see Fred Smith hit a touchy nerve, the comments above... in their vitriol and veiled racism and anti Foreigner rhetoric are pretty much endorsing his statements.
People don't like to self examine we don't like to hear the worst about ourselves, but This is a subject that needs airing and analyzing because it IS holding us back as a people.
Any Bahamian that really looks into their soul knows that a bit of what Fred Smith said is true.
We smile and welcome the foreigner, we placate and take care of them, we even become real good friends with some them. But behind their backs (friends and all) we talk different about them to Our people. (Right or Wrong?)
