Bahamian contractors need to go sit on a bridge!

This whole thing is unpatriotic, I can understand how they can get away with bringing 500 five hundred Chinese builders (And after they screwed up the last job!!??) whilst there are so many unemployed Bahamian contractors doing nothing.

And the contractors who never got paid from Baha Mar must be livid.

The same thing that happened to Baha Mar could happen to the Point.

Then What!?

Again we have more Chinese workers than Bahamians and we have massive unemployment. Why are the unpaid Bahamian contractors and investors from Baha Mar allowing this to happen?
This is the definition of insanity!!!!??? As Albert Einstein said, insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.”

The people blocking the Bridge had the right idea, they got together and agitated and received what they wanted, the access to the beach was reinstated! (For now) so I guess the Bahamas is still a democracy where the people's wishes and a disorganized but peaceful (ish) protest can actually work!

bahamas 2015/2016

There were allegations of arbitrary arrests and abuses against migrants. Deaths in custody were reported. Impunity for allegations of police abuses remained the norm.

Marching downtown? Forget that!

Why do you think the Chinese embassy looks like a bunker? And they just loaded the government up with Anti Riot gear for christ sake!
You can't hold a gathering anymore without government approval, and the government is proposing 'lockdowns' (AKA the first step to Martial law?) so no marching anywhere.

Besides, this is all mute, the average Bahamian is too Fat, Lazy & Broke to bother marching. All we seem to really care about is a free t-shirt and carnival.

And the Chinese / Government know it........ True or False?

On Baha Mar: What did govt know?

Gray is a Minister, representing a government department, IF he knows of ANY impropriety be it FNM or PLP, he has a Duty to the nation to 'let the cat's' out of the bag.
Let the Rule Of Law run its course.
Otherwise his insinuations are baseless, whatever the scenario it's not a good portrayal of his character and moreover outwardly unpatriotic.

This cronyism has to stop, they're picking away at every department and bit by bit destroying this beautiful nation from the inside out, it is Unforgivable they must start prosecuting the thieves that steal from the nation's finances.

I do not know how they can sleep at night.

I wish we had a list of all the pressing government 'issues' complied somewhere?- Every single day there seems to be a new scandal. i.e.

BAMSI scandals and all its tribulations, VAT revenue not being used for national debt, BoB What the F%#@ has been going on there, NIB- audit & outcome, BEC handover & no plan proposed, NHI where is the transparency, PMH hospital audit & outcome, Crime stats- rapes, murders etc., Immigration/human rights issues, PM & entourage oversea trips with no accountability, Contracts to cronies, Post Office missing money, Equal / women's rights, Carnival Audit and justification, COB Audit, Web shops accountability, Nygard Cay, Blackbeard's Cay Dolphins & the unenforced court order, BaHa Mar, Chinese & the 'Gift's' riot gear, Ruffins unpaid Tax, Urban Renewal money, the slow court / judicial system, L.O.I., No running water in Cat Island, Defence Force boats, BahamasAir & ZNS's cost to the nation etc. etc. etc..
Where is the Law enforcement and Accountability? There's an awful lot of money missing from the nation's pocket and zero investigations and prosecutions?

With so many ongoing issues that it's hard to keep up! (Maybe that's how they get away with it all?) The press should start a public online list somwhere, so the people and politicians can stick to the issues and possibly even resolve a couple of them?

Almost all humans 'of every hue' are innately racists. (Yes, even the ones who think they are not.) It is not that they are bad people, it's just the way we abnormal creatures have evolved.
It takes work to overcome our base instincts, anyone who says otherwise has no understanding of the human brain and evolution. And until people realize their base-instincts are in the way of real 'progress' and work at overcoming these instincts, they will stay in a racist mindset. But who gives a toss if they are a racist, really, so what? (don't be their friend) Can we now move-on?!

That all being said, the main problem here is not race, it is stupidity, plain and simple and Wells is just deflecting from the issues at hand.

For christ sake, we all need to stop getting sidelined with this crap, put our collective eog's away, get over our schoolyard bulls*^$ and move on, work together & Fix the Nation.

Who pays for this "private" discussion" six day trip to Switzerland ?!
is it Perry Christie because it is private? the Bahamian People / tax payers or the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) officials?

If it is the government / people, we should of course also have a report on all the costs- hotel, transport, (Limos & Air) dining, who else went, why they went and a report on what was the outcome of the Private discussion.

The FNM / official opposition should also be all over this?
