While I can see how its right to require permits-the hypocrisy of these guys is sickening. They shut this down (something actually good for locals), and then turn around and let others destroy the Bahamas without permits (Blackbirds, Bimini Bay, Nygrad, Chinese, Winding Bay, whatever developments are secretly moving forward in Exuma).
Its not the permit that Freddy was worried about-its the fact that Mr. Kravitz didn't reach out to him first ($$$$)
Wilson City and Guana Cay were for Bahamians and against the FNM government to boot. Lots of unregulated development throughout the islands and in Nassau have cased brought against tthem by Mr. Smith. You can choose to dislike the man for personal reasons, but its untrue to say he only represent Haitians or FNMs or make up other facts to support one's bias.
France had troops in Afghanistan from the beginning. It's the never justified War in Iraq they did not support, and said war is what directly led to ISIS. Obama certainly has his share of international screw ups, but the problems do pre date his admin (although he hasn't fixed them either)
The pinky ring is historically connected to organised crime. So by saying all this nonesense and fiddling his finger, he is sending a clear message to his supporters, funders, and associates.
He is saying, "Don't worry, its business as usual. Keep tiefin, murderin, and raping, and keep dem kickbacks comin too!"
"We know, however, from past experiences that some persons use such incidents to fraudulently prey on the public for their own benefit and in so doing tarnish our well-meaning efforts."
That's exactly why we should not be donating to ANY Bahamian government effort.
I find it interesting/sad that the government are paying workers now from other industries to do nothing. But I guess that just makes them regular government workers? Our government (all of them) just employ more and more people in order to control the voting public. Then the tax honest hard working people (what few there are) to support this habitat and to increase their own slush fund. I also would not be surprised if Perry and the other government crooks are trying to find a way where they can nationalize this project and keep all the profits for themselves.
Guana, Wilson City (both in Abaco) and that aggregate stuff in Freeport where all against the FNM. Don't necessarily agree with everything he does, but its important for this small country to have someone like him out there to fight back and 'hold de feet to da fire'
