It is the reporter. . .I have noticed that this particular reporter seem hell bent of bringing his/her own personal advocacy into the job!! This person seem not to follow any rules that are contrary to their personal view of this matter! For example, in the face of all UNHRC and World Court's explanation of what a stateless person is this individual continues to call this case "the stateless girl". The national review, certain reporters from both dailies and the Juan McCartny show have been over the objective reporting line long time ago. . . they continue to go "rogue" and talk any kind of nonsense they feel like. This the second time one of theses persons have committed major journalistic infractions and walk away . . . unlike other international press offenders! For example, the Smith criticism that turned out to be given by somebody else and now this big dumb crap

You just stop being a liar. . .5% are permanent residents or citizenship. . .the others are illegals or permit holders!! And what lawsuit are you talking about. . .they never filed any suit. . .they have no grounds to do so!! They filed for an injunction. . .and interlocutory injunction was given. . .the judge said stop until she can see the government papers and proofs. . .shanty town clearing goes on in the family islands!! You are letting your ethnic bias make a liar out of you! Read the history of the land grants in the bain and grants towns. . .Haitian stole lands and free hold blacks in those areas were granted lands by freehold owners. . .

Article 11 of 1987 your country constitution says : any person. . .whose parents are native born Haitians. . .her grand parents were native born Haitian. . .making her mother a Haitian citizen. . .and she being the child of a Haitian citizen. . .which can only be lost by three means. Now go and read the UNHRC site which will tell you those three reasons!!

Grounds for withdrawing Haitian citizenship are explained in Article 13 of the 1987 constitution:

Haitian citizenship is lost by

a) naturalization in a foreign country;

b) holding a political post in the service of a foreign government;

c) continuous residence abroad for three (3) years of a naturalized Haitian without duly granted authorization by a competent official. Anyone who loses his or her nationality in this manner may not reacquire it. (Haiti Mar. 1987)

Birth is not automatic citizenship (jus soli) in Haiti. . .you must be born from two Haitians. . .born in Haiti. . .to be considered for citizenship! After that, just like Smith. . .whose mother was Haitian. . .all children. . .no matter where they are born are citizens of Haiti!!

They would never try an uprising in this nation. . .they will never. . .never!! They tried that in The Dominican Republic a few years ago. . .there was a slaughter of Haitians from DR straightway back into Haiti. . .the long-term effect of their stupidity was that as a "knee jerk" move by the DR government was to deport hundred of thousands of persons born to Haitian parents. . .legal or illegal!! The international community just asked for consideration for them. . .but the dr did not listened. . .they expelled the good with the bad ones. . .

Read Article 11 of the old Haitian Constitution. . .that one prohibited 3 generation Haitian from homecoming citizens. . .which was changed in 2008. . .all such children born to Haitian parents anywhere are welcome home as citizen!! That yinna problem. . .yall keep thinking that nobody has sense enough to see yall talking bull crap. . .that young lady is Haitian!! She can leave tonight as a Haitian citizen. . .

Pastor Moss the un/amnasty/oxfarm and others like bodies have not interfered with children in the Bahamas like this young lady because she is not stateless. . .she is haitian! i would suggest that you read about what makes a person stateless before you do pontificate about the subject!! In fact the UN do not even consider them refugees. . .they made it clear that they do not have any such thing as economic refugee! Each one of those children can go and get their Haitian passport today. . .they don't want to!!

She is Haitian. . .why not go get her Haitian passport. . .go to USA. . .return to Bahamas then continue to wait for her constitutionally mandated time frame.

If her mother is willing to play the hard headed and will not use the Haitian option. . .and you continue to play politics. . .the child will be the one hurt. . .she is Haitian!!

The key word here is "interlocutory" injunction. . .nobody make a move anywhere. . .government don't broke down nothing. . .persons off the shanty towns don't go back. . .at least until the judge hears the case on the 16th. The government is not told to stop. . .just don't do anything until the court takes a look see. . .
