That's strange since the first black person came in this area during the mid 1600s. . .blacks in Haiti started this way in the mid 1800. . .British ruled here until 1964. . .with a European embargo against Haiti who owed war reparations to France. . .forced on them by Britain and the USA. . .they started coming this way during the late 60s when the Bahamas begun to see economic boom. . .I can remember when creole was nowhere spoken in this nation!! Before the Duvalier government Haiti as under the Americans. . .they had little to leave their nation until Duvalier too over and started killing and exploiting them! From the late 1800s to the early 1970 the "gee chee" language here was Turks and Caicos, Jamaican, and other people from down south. . .who can here as teachers, policemen etc. . .no Haitians en-mass. . .no Cuban en-mass!! The majority were from Turks and Caicos. The earlier Haitians did not live in shanty towns. . .they lived in ordinary communities. . .shanty towns came in with the over-crowding in the early 70s. . .they hid in the bushes to hide how many of them were here!!

The only "real" point in that writ is . . .proving that government owns the land that will be the consideration of the court. . .crown land is owned by the queen! Hence the term crown land! All of that other stuff said by Smith is just that. . .stuff. . .nothing more!! Smith is going to the queen and tell her that his country men came to the Bahamas and build illegally on her land and now refused to vacate her land!! That argument was tried before in the Turks and Caicos Islands. That case ended in all land owned by the crown was vacated. . .with Haitians homes built to code bulldozed and the land returned to the crown. Smith just tallking and filed to buy time to keep making the government blink!! I will be surprise if a judge will waste the court time to prove ownership of the lands in question. . .we already know who owns them. . .HRM Queen Elizabeth II!

Paul Adderley and an American out of Savanna Georgia traced those ownership of all lands occupied by maroon, slave and free hold blacks. I think the issues is for 1986 or there abouts. The lands were "free land" because they were granted to them by free hold owners. . .who themselves were granted those lands by the crown first. . .then hey gave them to black tradesmen so that they can be near the city center. . .those lands were not crow lands when they were given to the blacks!!
This kind of dumb attempts to justify foolishness only add more hurt to the plight of the Haitian people. . .be truthful or just shut the hell up!!
