Here we go again. . .political misogyny! The PM will go through this charade of "seeing: if General Orders prohibits the PS from wearing a political shirt!! There is one difficulty in this case! That PS is not a public servant. . .he is a retired Public Servant. . .a free-agent with no privileges or benefits beyond his contract compared to that of a PS that is currently a Public Servant!! He acts in the capacity as a PS. . .but is not a bonified Public Servant!! His term of employment has parameters of his contract!! He serves at the pleasure of the Cabinet. . .not the GG. He has no rights to parameters of employment of Bonified Public Servants!! In other words, his current work with government does in no wise obligate government to pay him a pension, adjust his salary or is entitled to other benefits of the typical Public Servant! When his contract is over. . .he walks with his hand in pocket. . .government has no obligations to him. . .otherwise than that contained within his contract!!

That is the only problem with this case. . .

So you think that government just put alla that money in his hands without a systematic accounting for that money?? Let the audit be done first. . .then we ger "hang-him-high". . .not before!! You agree? Nah yinna ger have to decide which one of them directors yall ger "crucify" for that budget mess? I thought that yinna had Mr. Cartwright "pegged" as the person who mess the thing up when the last government changed? Nah we back here again with the same story. . .but with this PLP man nah. . .what it ger be??

licks2 says...

It is called a contract. . .their pensions are not government or anybody else business. . .it is a Constitutional right after serving 30+ years in Public Services!! All that other stuff is contracted benefits with government for expert and professional services rendered atter they have EARNED their pensions. . .Constitutionally!! So yinna think that only government have those kinds of persons working for it. . .private sectors institutions have plenty of them here too and paying them way more than government paying them!!!! Heck. . .them private sector hires does live out West and East. . .paying an **average of $5,000 per month for their living accommodations!!**

licks2 says...

Before ya jump off the deep end. . .that man een no public servant. . .he is a contracted free agent. . .not a public servant!! Carry-on nah!!

How many of yinna read the disclosure laws before yall start talking?? Yinna don't think that each one of those candidates who made those declarations know that if any questions arise about what they declared to be true and correct can and will land their backside in a court of law. . .if anything in those declarations is found to be fraud?? Why yinna think they are under oath when they declare? i expect persons on this site to bring their minds from outta da streets and be the bulwarks for common sense and logics during this time of dumb nonsense!!

On Public disclosures are 'worthless'

Yinna does go for some petty stuff nah!!! Yinna know that that man een working for government and he is on contract for expert services?? Yinna ninnies een have no problem with them local white peoples or them ones from over-seas coming over here and making millions from both governments for professional contracts services and then raise a bunch of foolishness when our own local professionals do the same!! Yinna minds done turn to mush fer real!!

Must professional Bahamians have to go over-seas to be paid their worth after retirements?? That's the kind of thinkings that make the Bahamians sound like one-horse-town hicks!!

licks2 says...

Easy nah. . .don't go off half-cocked and forget that this is common practice for all of our political parties. . .and the whole world for that matter!! For example, how much do you think that white woman who was running the FNM feeding program was paid each year!! Ma bouy. . .yoon want to know!! LOP did it, HI did it, PC did it and HM did it. . .they are called specialists and are paid for their expertise!! Yinna need to check out how much them over-seas companies does pay our local professionals when they manage big projects for them locally. . .more money than our government ever paid any one of them!!

licks2 says...

People we are still not discussing the pro and con of the issue at hand. . .invectives are all I see/hear!! Lets forget PLP, FNM and COI and get to work discussing the lottery question. OK!
