This is bigger than the FNM, or the PLP, police brutality whether it's between White police on Black citizens as in the USA, or Black police on Black citizens as in the Bahamas. Police brutality must be addressed and stamped out, in this age and time a camera is always around and when injustice is caught on film the citizens must be ready to protest together as a Nation, and it should not matter which political affiliation a person alines themselves with.
Here we go again instead of consulting with the related Authority, the government acts on its own, for me, it's like some Lawyer or Doctor with no building experience telling me a Licensed Builder how to build a house. That is D-Average DUMB.
Rights Bahamas stop it, many Bahamians also have Haitian friends I am one. In conversations they to express what would happen if New providence and in large the Bahamas becomes overcrowded with Haitian migrants it's unsustainable, how can anyone be demanding they be returned home when they were not to invited here in the first place, they took a chance to come here uninvited you got caught now you must suffer the consequences. Haitians lives do matter to many Bahamians but not to the detriment of our existence.
In the report, it does not say when the beaches in new providence will be open all I can personally say if I see any foreigner on our beaches swimming and enjoying our beaches before the Competent Authority says bahamians can enjoy their beaches then they will have to arrest me cause if they (foreigners) can enjoy my beaches so can I.
Yes, I agree don't get involved there, and then I say observe and be ready to have that same movement when it comes to police brutality here in the Bahamas your home town, police brutality also happens here black police brutalizing black citizens, it's not always white on blacks as seen in Mississippi. Police brutality is a worldwide disease worst than any COVID-19
All we need is every officer working on the beat when interacting with the public to have a body camera turned on and not able to be manipulated, every police car before going on the road to interact with the public is turned on and not able to be manipulated, then and only then will we see some changes. The police lie.
Exactly, and they would only take the black Bahamians phone, but let a white person record their brutality they would do nothing, they won't try and take their phone because if they think that white person is a tourist they seem to show respect and fear for the backlash, only when the person is black they want to intimidate us, and rightfully they can't stop anyone from recording anything once it is happening in the public domain.
So it will be fair to state that on June 15 Nassauvians will be able to go on our beaches or do we also have to wait for the tourist to come in and enjoy our beaches first and while we watch them swimming we will be wishing and have to wait until July 1st.
If the curfew breakers upon being convicted and must pay or go to jail and then also has a stain put on his police record whereas it will hinder them in any way their ability to travel or get a job would mean this Government is heartless with no soul and compassion. What is written on the record unlawful wandering during a curfew?
