I hope this is not true that the RBPFwill be conducting roadblocks or checking every driver identification, this will be a disaster, worst than the food store lines. I do agree that the people of the Bahamas need to know and if they don't I sure as hell would like to know "what is the plan man"? Right now we are moving all over the place like a headless chicken before death. One day this is enforced then changed, the next time something is enforced then changed or altered or some added confusion introduced. Whoever is in charge of, or managing this project (covid-19 elimination and recovery) without a plan is lost. From a building contractor's perspective, a plan is the only way to construct a sound and properly built structure it can't be that the structure is complete and then you realize that no electricity is provided for and must now go back and rectify the situation. Managing a project this way makes no sense and waste valuable time. Yes, a plan is needed. He who fails to plan, plans to fail.
The Bahamas needs another source of income. The Bahamas needs a turbo boost to take us out of this present crisis, further and beyond. Whether oil is this source or not one thing is certain. Tourism is and has been maxed-out, the financial sector is beyond maxed out and fast disappearing. All in all, we have another 5000 persons leaving school and are eligible to enter the job market this year. If the Bahamas thinks to concentrate on a maxed-out Tourism and a maxed-out financial sector is going to get us there, then only heaven can save us ALL:
From one who knows, (my five cents) alcohol "Firewater" is a social stimulator, when persons drink they always seem to want to socialize, talking and mingling in close proximity to each other and all fired up, for social distancing and order that will be a disaster, now on the other hand cannabis usually has the opposite effect.
All our government leaders should be ashamed (1974-2020), in the USA all and every material needed for the upkeep is either readily available or easy to find and is cheaper than when living in Nassau so there is no excuse for our embassy to be in such a state. When looking from outside we are only a front but when looked at from inside we are fake.
The Bahamas must find a way to be ready to open up and get persons back to work, the money that's circulating in the community since the lockdown is just old money circulating amongst us. We need new money coming in, in order for us to move forward, onward, upward together to getting persons working. Three or four months of this and we will be on the verge of eating grass and i don't mean the well-loved cannabis
I am sure these Doctors with private offices are living and enjoying a much higher standard of living than Governmental Doctors or registered Nurses, just like the government Doctors and all licensed Doctors they make a sworn commitment to the profession to save lives, this is a war, a battle, if the Bahamas was being invaded on a larger scale different from what is happening now on a smaller scale with foreigners invasion and the alarm is called to go out and fight for the country existence, can I without any military knowledge say I can't because I have no training or I can't because I don't know how to put on a helmet or shoot a gun? The answer is no because if I say No I ain't nothing but a traitor. Dr, Minnis is correct, this is your profession Private Doctors go on the battlefield and FIGHT.
