What about 2.5. million dollars for a replacement elevator? I guess we should be grateful that the cost wasn't more. These people (governments) believe that they are doing Bahamians a favor while dealing with our affairs and our money, and then, the next few years down the road, they are the ones begging and lying, and if they are voted in, they themselves, then become ungrateful.
Yes, get the lady lawyer who they fear, it cannot be that such treatment becomes the norm all because our E-average, very dumb, investigators can't do their jobs on brains alone and has to resort to illegal physical and mental means. Sue, Sue, Sue if you can, the government and the RBPF has no rights to abuse its citizens willy-nilly in the name of crime fighting.
The Bahamas government, the lawmakers of today are just making up laws that are only discussed amongst themselves, and not stakeholders and the very people they will affect, they need to get off the I know it all train and come back to reality, because they don't. They say that Bahamians should get more involved in the tourist product and then make it hard for them to do so. They give a raise in wages only to tax the poor man this very raise right back. Full of s$$t.
The fact is we can not, we can not absorb/take in and take care of even .05% of a country with 11 million people, with more than half of them trying to flee. Sorry, but we just can't, unless we want to lose the Bahamas at a 100% more speed than we are now.
