Why would anyone run to a country where the leaders of their respective states are telling other states if you visit you will have to quarantine for 14 days. God help us, the USA virus problems today are far worst than they were when the pandemic first broke out. None of the sensible countries are allowing USA citizens into their countries and deterring their citizens from traveling there only Banana boat countries like ours are more than happy to risk our health so we can say " oh I went to the USA for vacation".

The statue of Christopher Columbus and Queen Victoria towering big and bold reminding us all just how independent we really are while a tiny bust of the great Sir Milo Butler sits small and almost invisible.

Great Naughty you are right on, a real case of dictatorial leadership starring ME-(competent authority), myself-(moh), and I-(the most honorable PM).

This is really a banana boat country where a person can be charged for breaking a curfew but nothing happens when persons are allowed to build unsafe houses and squatter while the rest of us must pay and go through all kinds of procedures.

When the RBPF took a bat to the young men during a Junkanoo parade at the beginning of the year why were there no cries to march because of police brutality, in 2020 there were numerous occurring situations to march for, yes we can march because of these senseless killings by these coward thugs but we should march for RBPF brutality, high cost of living, joblessness, being treated as second class citizens in our own country, and disrespect to its citizens plus many more. Yes, we should march an all-round march.

How sad is this, leave politics out and taking sides? The Bahamas went through almost 4 months of curfews, long lines, and a lot of frustration when the virus was less threatening to us and now the virus is very threatening to us and now we are importing like everything we have to import into the country, the virus. When COVID-19 first came dripping in we couldn't handle it, now that the chances of the virus pouring in we are now taking a huge RISK. Rember this, the Bahamas health system CANNOT deal with COVID-19 and the general public day to day ailments at the same time meaning the general public will lose and because we are here in New Providence packed like sardines in a can we only need one person in with the virus and the country goes back into lockdown, the Competent Authority now has a new emergency Order to do just that for another 6 months. So yes we are taking a huge, huge risk. I would rather eat bananas for a year and live than to eat grouper, steak, crawfish and conch for a month and die.

Any country allowing visitors from the USA into their country at this time is taking a huge risk, a huge risk and that includes the Bahamas, I hope and pray the monies we are chasing don't be to the detriment of our society. With hotels closed and the cruise ports closed why is the country open at this time and the tourists that will be coming in is of no great numbers to help our economy at this time and only visitors from countries with very minimum cases should be allowed in.

Seek assistance from who, when, how? but the thing is Assistance has to be readily available for someone to seek and not be just words picked out of a hat and then thrown together to imply that assistance is there for persons to seek.

On Abuse cases increased in lockdown

Yes, this makes no sense we are opening up the country in far worst conditions as before we shut down the first time. GOD help us.
