Pintard I believe is a better option than the 2 presently vying. He has the ability I believe to do something that has not really been done before in our politics, and that is to work across party lines and unite our country for the better.

Without any other reason, just that statement right there is enough to let the FNM know that Thompson is not the right choice. But beyond that, I'm sorry, but Thompson does not inspire confidence for people to follow him. Both he and Lewis need on sit on the sideline on this one right now.
Just my viewpoint.
But who knows may surprise me if he gets it. At least don't have over the hill 70+ year old people putting their hat in the ring to lead. Don't need anymore of them, as in the next 5 years, our current PM with his old ideas will have driven our country deeper and we desperately need youthful leadership with a willingness to buck the status quo.
Davis talks about unifying the country. Yet, Mitchell, mind you in a global pandemic traveling to Rome already, talks about getting party supporters straight.
So much for the unity talk. Clearly we see who running this government.
I also agree with Moore, follow the constitution . However, where was Moore's voice over the past 6 years when Minnis ignored the FNM constitution and never held a convention? Don't just talk of following the constitution when it is convenient.
Obviously the 90M will not be used to decrease the deficit or pay down the debt, and the revised budget they bring will find some way to spend that 90M to cover their friends, family and lovers.
A balance sheet is simple. Income versus expenditures. For a government with a gussie mae cabinet that just increased its expenses, and lowering VAT, that just reduced its income, what does that spell. deficit increases.
It is simple common sense.
But then again, you always speak as if you know everything, so don't expect less.
The increases has nothing to do with fossil fuel price increases. GB Power has a hedge agreement for their fuel prices, so their fuel cost is not impacted by the changing dynamics of fuel like BPL.
The increases are simply the greed of GB Power, especially when they charge power users now a fee to recoup what they spent fixing their system after Hurricane Dorian.
However, wait to see if you will hear that from the mouth of Davis or the minister in charge of public service.
Despite Davis comments about finances in trouble, they already rescinded the policy of retired persons brought back to government getting pension and salary. There is no concern about streamlining the country's finances.
