GB has not had any further spikes in numbers and no need for lockdown. Sadly, people in Nassau see the curve raising and wish not to do any drastic measures to stop it. The PM was weak in backing off the lockdown for NP. The issue has to be brought under control in NP before you can move further.
And until the issue in NP is controlled, all of the Bahamas will suffer, as most people around the world sadly do not realize that the Bahamas is bigger than NP.
When will Bahamian retailers offer online service. I could sit in my home an order products from anywhere around the world online. Yet Bahamian retailers still want to operate in the 19th century, expecting people to come into a store. Is it any wonder we are lagging behind?
*Further restrictions mean the only other movement during weekend lockdowns beside essential services, will be for one hour of worship services on Saturdays and Sundays between the hours of 7am and 1pm.*
So everyone in Nassau will now say on Saturday and Sunday they going to church. This is madness. What's the point of a lockdown that's not a lockdown catering to the church?
*Back-to-school events were held simultaneously in all ten Urban Renewal Centres in New Providence. Officials say more than 1,200 similarly stuffed backpacks were presented to children attending the events. Additional events have been scheduled for Grand Bahama and the Family Islands, which account for the remaining 13 of the 23 centres.*
And again, the rest of the islands outside of New Providence get left behind for some other time. This darn New Providence centrism needs to stop!!!!
Interesting how the physical distancing protocols are not being followed in the photo. Thought it was 6 feet apart.

It is amazing how we can be lead to believe such things. Guess if amazon had believed that it would have never created.
