What is there to be proud of at this time, when for the majority of the 47 years of so called independence, we have had governments who treat foreigners better than their own citizens?
This is a joke right? the Director of Labour has the audacity to criticise Bahamian companies who are trying to right size their businesses to keep people employed, and yet he does not say a word about a company in Abaco who brings in over 100 foreigners to do jobs that could go to Bahamians? If you can speak against all injustice, don't speak against none. It is hypocritical.
Bahamians have for years built buildings in this country that have withstood massive hurricanes. Are you telling me that there is some specialty being built at Baker's bay that Bahamians do not have the skills to do? Madness..
It is time we stop asking for a piece of the pie, and begin demanding having our won ingredients so we can make our own pie. That is what real freedom and independence is all about!
What the heck? The law says people now landed are supposed to have a test. How the heck you don't know? Seriously? IF they had no test they should not be landed. These people really joking.
And where the heck is the Director of labour. He was in the paper talking about unemployment. How the heck he approve these visas for Mexicans to come in and work, when Bahamians out of jobs. We can't be real.
And want talk about celebrating Independence. For what?
Please, don't come in the paper and tell me what you see and spew diplomatic nonsense. If a house is being built without a building permit, it is against the law. Take a bulldozer and knock it down. End of it. We talk about independence, yet foreigners can do things in our nation that Bahamians are not allowed to do.
Someone needs to tell Davis that when you talk too much and want to say something on everything each day, that people begin to ignore and tune you out. When you get in front of a mic let it be few and something of substance you say. Davis needs to stop blowing hot air and learn to think before he talks, and stop just being political and opposing for opposing sake.
So a picture is displayed of people arriving who right outside the airport are not following physical distancing protocols. Interesting. Where is the COVID-19 compliance unit that is to be fining them for not physical distancing?
the Minister of Health needs to have a conversation with the prime Minister and tell him to let the PHA know that they do not have a heart for laying off doctors at this time.
I feel for the doctors who have been let go at this time, and hope they are able to land on their feet in other facilities.
