***However, she highlighted that the challenge teachers and students had was they were left on their own to decide how teaching and learning would happen.***

***“There was little consistency with the lessons because the lessons that were taught not following the curriculum or the syllables and the platform that teachers were using proved very challenging because a lot of them ran out of data, the WiFi, the internet connection was going in and out……and they did not have a way to test what their students had learnt,” she said.******

So teachers need to be told to continue teaching the curriculum? Maybe the problem of the D average is the students are being tested on material not being instructed by the teachers.

***“Some of the teachers were teaching, the students were using maybe their parent’s laptop or their parents’ cellphone. The parent came, pulled the device out of the child’s hand and cursed while other students were able to see and hear.***

So Wilson is using a conversation between a parent and child that isn't directed at the teacher to try make it about the teacher?

***She recalled: “A Family Island teacher shared with me how she had several students logged on to the virtual platform and she had to go outside and she said as she was outside she saw two of her students riding their bicycle but they were registered and logged in and she thought they were actually on the virtual platform and in class.”***

So the teacher is outside and thus not teaching. What do they expect the child to do, stay inside and just look at the screen. Besides, if the teacher went outside, did the child live next to the teacher? Where did the teacher go to see the child?

Seriously? Wasting the police time for someone who is going through the people's documents? See why the Senate is a waste of money. We really need to do away with it.

I listened to the Minister of Education speech and don't know what the heck Davis is talking about. If there was a cut why didn't he mention it during the debate. Oh, maybe he was asleep.

*He continued: “Now we have more generation than we need this summer and I want you to ask me that same question at the end of the summer and at the end of the hurricane season. You’re going to come and say ‘Mr Bannister, we had no load shedding. What happened?’”*

He was doing so well until that last sentence. Well for you BPL folks in New Providence, will see what the summer brings. Those of us in the other islands will just enjoy our cool breeze.

It's the petroleum infested water that he would swim in as a boy that is affecting his decision making.

However, where are the points on Sands and Symonette?

moncurcool says...

Maybe he should start with disciplining all the people sitting in front of him without a mask as he is talking. Hmmm. the stupid things these so called leaders say when the infractions right in front of them they don't deal with. How do they expect to be taken seriously with what they say?

Where is the Commissioner of Police and the Compliance unit? $200 fine needs to be imposed on all them immediately!! Want to enforce keeping off the beach but not enforce the GG, PM, and medical doctors not wearing mask. Stop the selective enforcement Mr. Commissioner of Police.
