The the government needs to make it profitable. Ask a doctor who comes homes and wants to open their own business about the boys club that will block them at every turn. Our young people going to school will not return until we are willing to change our nation for the bette to make it worthwhile for them to return.
As always. Predatory lenders never change and always advocate for their base of lenders even if not there. It is sad. Let's hope Turnquest stays the cost and does not try to borrow. The flip side is are we willing as Bahamians to tighten our financial belts?
This picture is a clear sign that his so called zero tolerance for crime is nonsense. No social distancing. Also was the ceremony yesterday essential? Should those people have been out of their home for a ceremony and with more than 10 people? Funerals can only have 10 people but look at this non essential meeting numbers. Just saying. I could be wrong though.
So are we saying people should do business for free? I agree the insurance company should take their losses, but are they to provide services for all customers and they have no obligation to pay for those services? Note, if the government can do this to the insurance company, how soon can they do it to us and say they will not provide light, or water, but we must still pay the bill. Would we be okay with that?
I honestly don't understand this situation. How can you tell a company pay claims and tell the claimants don't pay any of your premiums? Guess next they will order landlords not to charge rent and people live rent free? . Each action has a consequence. If the government wants to be brave, then go after the predatory banking industry. Place an order that banks still provide mortgage coverage, but charge no interest for the next 60 day and people don't have to pay mortgage.
Picture shows why all the emergency orders being imposed is crap. You make the law and then don't follow it. This can't be for real. How can you get mad at citizens for not following the orders when the people who bringing them believe they are above the orders.
Tribune: you need to raise this issue immediately at the next press conference. This smacks of disrespect and law breaking towards every Bahamian who is told to be locked down and stay home.
