Further, the issue is why does this need to be a press conference for the public. This is a matter between employee and employer. This is the point being made.

Rather that being an intelligent idiot and resorting to name calling, it would be sensible for you to read the article and see what I was responding to in the article. Then you can enter into an intelligent conversation. A defined benefit is not a contribution by employees. It is by the employer. A defined contribution is where employees contribute. The article clearly says they have a defined benefit.

The stupidity and lack of education by union leaders in this country continues to be displayed. Firstly, I am tired of these union leaders putting their dirty laundry in the public. If you have an issue with the company, then that is between you and the company, not the public. But the ignorance comes to light with the union leader understanding of a pension. Based on the article, the leader says that the bank has a defined benefit pension plan. The bank wants to change it to defined contribution. With their defined benefit plan, he is crying that the bank can just change the terms. Does this idiot not understand defined benefit. With defined benefit, the employer does all the contributions, and the employee contributes nothing. With that scenario, the employer has the right to change the terms of the pension plan. With a defined contribution, since the employee then contributes, the employer cannot unilaterally change the plan. Gregory Moss was right, that unions today are about headlines, rather than really looking out of the people.

This has got to be a joke. If this is really serious, then it shows the stupidity of our customs department. How could you demand people to pay a tax on something in 2014, when the tax did not come into existent until January 1, 2015. Customs losing their dog gon it mind. Moreover, the Vat Unit which is responsible for VAT, says it is not t be paid, how can customs then demand payment. It shows the stupidity of government departments.

That is what we do in the Bahamas in government. We place people with no experience to run areas they have no expertise in, and then expect to get results. We will get results, but nothing of substance. In fact this is really a ministry that is just a waste of money.

Amazing that price console making the noise, but they have no control over whether those business do those prices or not. Could it be than the business just increased their overall price in the process. Maybe price control needs to ask that question first before jumping to conclusions and making a splash in the paper for show.

Here again it shows the stupidity if the so called price control department. They are suppose to know the price of all price controlled items and what the limits should be. They don't need to ask the store manager. Based on what they have set s the maximum of price control, then they just walk in with that number in hand, look at the price on the shelves, and they should be able to tell if the price is above what it should be or not. If the idiots have to wait to get paperwork then who sets the price control. Another ineffective government in action just doing something for the cameras.

Christie head is rally jammed. He talks bout bringing in the VAT people from New Zealand, yet those seem people told him he needed to have a Freedom of Information Act. Where is that act? I'm still waiting to see it.

They lie about reducing port duties. Yet, they have not removed the $1.10+ tax that they already have as a part of the price of gasoline. Yet they want to charge you VAT on top of the gasoline. crooks. That is double taxation.

On Christie remains optimistic over new tax

I'm confused. The government is charging Vat on gasoline. Are they removing the $1.10 tax that they include in the price of gasoline as well. How can you tax me on gas already, then come behind and charge me VAT on top of that. That is double taxation. I bet the greedy government won't remove the that tax from gas. If they do gas would drop overnight to less than $3.00.
