The article writer needs to get his facts straight, as the Bahamas is not a beneficiary of PetroCaribe. Not getting facts straight when one writes an article leads not only an inaccurate article, but taking everything else said in the article as totally suspect.

The author loses credibility.

It is amazing that we do not consider sometime the negativity our headlines generate about our country. I am presently in California and when I pulled up the paper to read the news, this headline was glaring at me. A prospective tourist leaned over as replied "is that your country?"

While we like the excitement that goes with these headlines and reporting the news, remember that what goes one the world wide web goes viral and speaks volumes about our country. While the event is tragic, trying to be sensational does not help the process.

Do you realize that you can go to any airport in the world and say you are in transit and walk out? There is no such thing as a holding area for transit passengers.

It is amazing how double standards are in parliament. When Glenys Martin did her stunt a couple of years ago after being named by the speaker, the PLP did not think here actions were nonsensical. When the police came to remove her, Bernard Nottage was the one standing up telling the police they can't touch them and all over the news telling people the police had no right to touch them.

How is it that Bernard Notage does not tell the police officers now that they have no right to touch the opposition members.

Be careful when you spit in the wind, because it will come back to you. This is just the chickens coming back home to roost. That is why if you can't take it you better not dish it out.

It is amazing to me how these people believe we are foolish. Mr Stuart is stating the Bahamas is lagging behind in rates when the rates of our hotels are probably the highest in the region. Is it any wonder people are going to other destinations? Cost matters, and the lower the cost, the greater the volume and the more persons you get. Only heaven knows when we will get it in our heads that you cannot just cater to the high end tourist market. It is sad that the average Bahamian cannot even afford a night in a hotel in their own country.

This is totally wrong. How could a chairman be out in public outing some companies and not others. A person's or companies accounts are private unless they are taken to court for collection. To get in the public and call out one company to the exclusion of others is unethical and wrong. As a chairman, Leslie Miller is out of order for this.

Martin Luther King once said "what affects one directly, affects everybody else indirectly." In other words, if you believe that it is okay to have the deplorable conditions at the prison and that those people should suffer because of what they have done and that it will never affect you, then you need to stop being delusional and think again.

If they are treated like dogs in prison, how do you think they will react when and respond to society when released. We must fix this situation immediately. While prison is not a vacation spot, it ought to work to reform it residents.

Moore's Island? How many people live in Moore's Island? It amazes me how our Prime Minister just talks off the top of his head.

I guess they will vote the money build a PM residence and Hubert will have to come back and get it built.

Are these guys losing their heads? If the government is so broke as they claim, then how do these idiots expect to pay for a PM residence. Oh I know. They are going to raid the NIB fund to do it.

Gibson's rose coloured glasses respinse to the report is a clear indication that he was not looking for the truth in this matter from the beginning. This type of garbage politics from these immature politicians is what is killing our nation. God help us and save us from ourselves.
