SMT. The same program they stopped when they came to office, they bring back and act like it is their own and that they doing it because they did a photo op walk through Port Lucaya and found out people were hurting.
Geez man. You cannot make this nonsense up if you try.

Our politicians really believe we are dumb.
First off, the two would not have come during the spike. That is just a ludicrous statement.
Second, they came now and the rush out was all for them. Period. Trying to spin it shows a complete lack of respect for the populace.
The foolishness is the fact that you cannot have a single thought for yourself that is not swayed by your political blindness. Typical example of the mindless masses Pindling and the PLP were always trying to create.
> Just 2 percent of Bahamians do not own > a smartphone or tablet, communications > regulators have revealed, with total > mobile connections exceeding the size > of the country’s population.
How many people were in this so called survey? Because the pandemic showed that we had scores of students without access to the internet as they and no devices. Did this survey cover the entire Bahamas? Were the participants selected at random? What is the margin of error? How do you report on a survey without reporting those vital facts?
Are we really to believe that only 18,000 Bahamians do not have a smartphone?
Can we challenge entities putting out information rather than just printing what they give in a press release verbatim without fact checking?

"Impartial" Governor General appointed by the political directorate who has no tenure and can be removed at will if the GG party is not in power? Really?
And what power does William have? All he said is dependent on his grandmother and father.
Why hold on to vestiges of the past and be governed by people who are miles away?
When will be stand up and be independent and develop ourselves?
What if our governments provide busies opportunities for our people to be their own bosses rather than these bottom feeder jobs? What if they provided a proper 21st education system that propels students to think and not just regurgitate information for exams? What if they provided a proper health system with access to quality healthcare? What if they allowed oil to be refined by the companies in GB and sold stations in the county to lower our gas prices?
If they just had sense to do some of these things, would we not be able to have some remedies against the scourge of crime?
I am just tired of brain dead politicians with worthless slogans every 5 years, clinging to commissions and committees and not having one creative or productive idea.
One of the best journalistic articles I have seen in any of our dailies in decades, that brings questions to all the hot air that politicians are allowed to blow without being challenged. Wish the politicians could answer the questions raised in tis article.

Interesting how the price of a barrel of crude oil has been dropping and the man is still talking about gas prices rising.
