What part of "the arms of flesh will fail you" don't people understand? Disappointment is inevitable with respect to political parties, whether that be fnm, plp, dna or any other party. Even if we follow Bermuda's example and elected a third party, that third party will, as with all other political parties, outlive its usefulness to the people which elected it. It seems like we're on autopilot with this particular government...neither Captain nor co-pilot sitting in the chair.
@islander242. Which people are you referring to? The two idiots fighting over the clogged toilet, or the police who classify the fight between the two idiots as "minor"?
My heart recoiled in pain when I heard this story because I considered my own baby boy, whom I love more than anything in the world. When I look into my son's eyes I see the helplessness and the trust he places in me to love and protect him. My baby is no different than any other little one out there. They depend on us to protect them. R.I.P little one, no more suffering, pain or hurt for you.
@Honeybun. As incredible as it seems, trivial things cause alot of grief. My neighbour was stabbed to death over a piece of fried fish. The common denominator for violence over small matters is a lack of self-control.
This can't be the same "Social Services" who had a big sit-in when Loretta Butler-Turner was Minister claiming that that they were being treated unfairly under her leadership and by their rhetoric basically implied that they would vote her out, hey? Well, ya'll vote her out and got Melanie Griffith, who also jumped on the the bandwagon during the sit-in and had all manner of things to say castigating Mrs. Butler-Turner while praising her own leadership when she was the Minister. Now she is the Minister again...Ain't nothing change, hey? Be careful what you wish for...
@1voice. Actually you have been misinformed. The actual process is that when an order for deportation is made, the U.S. State Department in the particular State sends official inquiry to the country to which the individual says he is a citizen of, requesting confirmation that the individual is in fact a citizen. In the case of The Bahamas, this inquiry goes to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs then makes inquiries of the Passport Office and the Registrar General's Department to confirm citizenship and the particulars of that citizenship. Based on the information that Foreign Affairs receives, it then confirms the status of the individual with the U.S.State Department. If the individual is in fact a citizen of The Bahamas, then he is deported to The Bahamas. If he is deported because of immigration violations, the Police generally does not receive notification. But, if he is a criminal deportee, the Police receives the requisite notification. That is the process.
This is what happens when you lack gumption to make the hard and unpopular decisions. I refused to participate in the farce because I knew that no referendum was needed to change the law. Christie wanted to impress somebody with his self-aggrandizing claim of being the PM of inclusion and consultation. Then because he is a coward, he proclaimed that his government had no "horse in the race"! Hogwash! He wanted to play in the pig pen without smelling like ****! The end result is that he looks like an ass!
It's a pity that I can't click the "thumbs down" button for this story! To the Christian Council, I remind you of this Word: "Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!" declares the LORD.
Well duh!! Isn't the Board and the Chairman all appointed by the Prime Minister from a selection of party faithfuls? You really didn't expect anything else, did you?
