Honestly, how did no one ask why someone was there for seven years? The guards see people come and go, but one guy stays for seven years and none of them go, 'hey why is that guy still here?'. Maybe there are so many people being kept indefinitely that the guards don't even think anything of the fact that they see the same people for years in detention.

Maybe the government should ask for all the cases of people detained past 2 years.

What happened to the PPP deal with Ratheon and the local company here that was championing it?

Looks like they just got sold up the river. Then again, I'm quite happy that the FAA is still in control of our air space. Better leave it to the actual professionals.

Fire trucks don't carry water, they get it from the hydrants all over the place. The problem was with the hydrants, not showing up without water.

If they are letting algae (actually not algae but bacteria and molds) to grow in the diesel tanks then we are going to be in for a long summer. This will only continue to contaminate the fuel, clog filters and machinery and leave us in the dark. I'm sure the Snake has no problem selling some bad fuel to BPL, but we can't blame him when BPL failed to keep their storage tanks clean.

What are you going on about? Currently there are no cruise ships, so it turns out that the head count they are talking about now are all of the high contributors. What exactly are you complaining about?

All these people crying about the vaccine and they don't realize that this is how they are going to get swindled. This "post-Emergency order" bill will give the government way more power than before covid, and there will be no end to it. It will always be 'post-emergency' for a couple years and by then it will just be the way things are.

The Bahamas is not 470,000 km2. What kind of idiot wrote an entire report using the completely wrong number. That being said, the government number for crown land at 14,162 km2 is actually larger than the entire area of the Bahamas which is actually 13,880 km2. So not only did some idiot who works at the IDB waste a ton of resources with a crazy number and the government estimate they own more of the Bahamas than there is to own, but the Tribune reporter failed to realize the glaring errors before publishing several hundred words on the subject. From top to bottom, a bunch of idiots.

Why has the government not secured more doses of vaccine? Even with all of the anti vaxers we will still be far short of what is needed to vaccinate the people who want it.

Why has the government not made purchase agreements with any manufacturers? What have they been doing for the last 10 months since vaccines went on sale? The cost of vaccinating the population is less than what we are losing in revenue every day. Every day that the government sits around doing nothing is another day pushing back the proper reopening of the country.

Seems to be that the only people whining about a proper corporate tax don't actually run companies or pay business licence fees. Almost all companies would rather pay tax on net than gross. The tax system here is so antiquated that when I tell foreign business operators how it works here, they think I'm messing with them.
