This "post-Emergency order" bill will give the government way more power than before covid, and there will be no end to it. The Bahamas is not 470,000 km2. What kind of idiot wrote an entire report using the completely wrong number. That being said, the government number for crown land at 14,162 km2 is actually larger than the entire area of the Bahamas which is actually 13,880 km2. So not only did some idiot who works at the IDB waste a ton of resources with a crazy number and the government estimate they own more of the Bahamas than there is to own, but the Tribune reporter failed to realize the glaring errors before publishing several hundred words on the subject. Why has the government not secured more doses of vaccine? Even with all of the anti vaxers we will still be far short of what is needed to vaccinate the people who want it.

Why has the government not made purchase agreements with any manufacturers? What have they been doing for the last 10 months since vaccines went on sale? Seems to be that the only people whining about a proper corporate tax don't actually run companies or pay business licence fees. Almost all companies would rather pay tax on net than gross. No one will be forced because the government has not bothered to actually get enough vaccines doses. We will run out having vaccinated just 15% of the population with no plan on getting more. Everyone is getting bent out of shape about mandatory shots when that won't even be a problem because there will be no doses.

What has the government done to secure more doses? Why have no purchase agreements been made? Why has the government not petitioned the US for some of the 20M+ doses of AZ they have stockpiled? Why has the Sputnik V vaccine not been investigated for purchase? Why have we not purchased cold storage space so that Pfizer or Moderna can be distributed here? What has the government been doing for the last 14 months?

The government still has not secured the required vaccine doses to offer the population the choice. Why have purchase agreements not been made? Why was J&J only contacted last week about getting doses? They have been selling the vaccine for 6+ months now. Get the Sputnik vaccine, get anything, because we will be stuck at having vaccinated just 15% of the population.

What has the government been doing for the last year? The whole vaccine program will cost less than the revenue lost each day from this pandemic.
