After corona passes (months from now), no one will be getting on cruise ships. The cruise industry will not recover for many years. That part of our economy is gone for a long time to come. Flights are also coming in close to empty now. The stop over passengers are going to be gone for a long time too. This is going to be an economic catastrophe for the Bahamas. Prepare for some dark times.
Real Estate agents in general are bottom feeders, they know little to nothing about home construction and maintenance, they know little to nothing about ownership of the piece of land yet somehow they expect to charge you 6% of the price for walking you around and blowing smoke up yours. The lawyer actually makes sure the property has a clear title and registers the deal, the banks appraiser actually makes sure the property is the value of the price you're paying and a home inspector is the one who tells you about the condition of the structure.
I wouldn't worry about it. If there was a sea of oil beneath us it would have been found by now and the politicians would have made their money. The fact that they are still looking now is a sign that there isn't anything there.
Current here has been frying appliances for years. This is nothing new. Why wouldn't you spend the extra $20 and get a good surge protector for your stuff instead of waiting for it to fry just so you can complain.
