You're right, this is not an international issue. Shutting down the airport and cruise port will do nothing. We need run politicians who do not promote freedom of information and transparent financials out of the government. We need to make sure they do not win the next election. Not just their party, but the actual politicians. There needs to be accountability, that if they don't do their job, they will not have one. We need to make our fellow Bahamians aware of how their money is being wasted.
We shouldn't give them the time of day. They don't have any interest in the well-being of the Bahamian people. They just want to keep the collection tray full.
Is this government serious? Was there an open and transparent bidding process for this contract? Seems like they just gave it to the company that would give the most kickbacks. This points directly to outright corruption.
We have to demand accountability from our elected representatives. They are taking this country for all it's worth and with no care for the people. What a sad state of affairs when dealings like this go on and no ones cares or questions it. It's time we do something about it.
Why shouldn't they work for it? Why is it that we just have to give our hard earned food and money away? Who do you think pays for the hot breakfast? People who have worked hard, that's who. Why shouldn't the people receiving it work a little bit too?
You already have unemployment benefits. We have NIB. Payroll tax has nothing to do with that. Besides you're not supposed to live on $300.00 per week, you're supposed to find another job. It's there to help, not to be a replacement for actually working. Why would anyone work if they got paid the same to sit around doing nothing all day?
This is it. The government cannot stop spending money. They are totally out of control. The country is broke and they are finding something new every week to spend millions and millions of dollars on. And there is no accounting for how the money is actually spent, nothing at all to ensure that there is fair bidding or that money is not being taken off the top by these political leaders. We have a serious problem, and it's the people running the government.
Does the government not know how to stop spending money? This is out of control. It's just another chance to pocket some money in some sort of kickback scam. There is really no other explanation for it. It's lunacy!

God doesn't choose the Prime Minister. Bahamian citizens do. Maybe thinking God has a say in it is why we are in such a mess with our governments.

This clearly shows that somebody is just putting money in their pockets. Typical of our governments.
