I have to give Minister Gibson credit. He seems to be the only minister in the government who is showing any restraint with the public's money. He even understands that this money belongs to the Bahamian people. We would be in such a better situation if the other ministers could understand fiscal restraint.
More government waste. Unnecessary spending at the expense of tax payers. Every time we turn around the government, who is trying to take more and more from the people, is spending money it doesn't have. We need to wake up. The Bahamas is being run into the ground and the politicians in charge will not care. They will have taken everything they can from this country before it's over.
Corruption! As a lawyer, has Davis never heard of an arms length transaction, do he not understand the concept of a conflict of interest?
These is no transparency in the government, and it's time for the people to demand it. Enough backroom deals have been made where only the people in the room benefit to the detriment of the Bahamian people. It's time to put an end to this!
The level of corruption in our government is out of control. It's not even hidden, it's out in public, in plain view to see, with only simple denials by those benefiting from it.
Yet we hold no one accountable. Bahamaland is being run into the ground to line the pockets of the people we are to lazy to hold accountable. This country will never be more than a third world banana republic until we hold ourselves to a higher standard.
This is really getting to be to much. We're broke. The government refuses to collect taxes owed to them, while wanting to institute new taxes and telling everyone that these are hard times, and then goes on a spending spree with money they do not have.
Honestly, do these ministers have no idea how to balance our books? We cannot afford to be spending this way. This is a joke!
Regardless of how foolish you believe Dr. Minnis to be, it doesn't excuse what Mr Christie has done. He did abuse his power. What he did was unethical and corrupt. Forget your hatred of the messenger for two minutes and have a good look at what the Prime Minister is actually doing.
This is by far the funniest comment in the whole thread.
Those scary lesbians, all dressed up in pants! Women in pants! Oh how the lord must be crying for you. Standing outside the church and not even going in?! It must not be because people like you inside the church we're trying to damn them to hell, no, it must be because they were trying to start trouble. Oh lordy, our poor Bahamaland is about to be taken over by the biker dykes. Who will ever save us? How dare they ask for the right to not be judged by us believers. That is our right as Christians, to judge any and all we see fit. How dare they wear pants!!!
