well let's talk about average:

Uranium is duty free, chicken is 30%

The average is 15%. lol.

the negotiating team was speaking during laing's show this afternoon.

but i stopped listening when one of the negotiators, giving an example as how people could benefit from duty reductions, stated thet duty on clothing was 35%. This rate was reduced in 2014 to 20%.

One would think that she could at least prepare some examples before speaking on the radio.

I am suspicious now that this reduction negotiation will be that the rate will be 0% for businesses but the usual rate for individuals. Then they slap the businesses owners with onerous procedures to deliver the 0% rate, as they recently did with the clothing.

Have the cake and it eat too. they say the duty is zero but the businesses do not want to take advantage of it. brilliant.

Actually they did take ONE bahamian before the courts:

ohdrap4 says...

well the ones who apply for the NOVS are acting according to law, aren't they?

that is the wrong place to look for people to prosecute.

ohdrap4 says...

well i just mentioned because all bahamian women are disadvantaged, that is how much they love them.

it is sad that this world class professional has to make a living outside their own country, and, one day, her children might not be able to acquire bahamian citizenship.

the celebration is small potatoes compared to this.

otoh, a bahamian male could have children anywhere in the world and his children would get citizenship at birth.

yamacraw

the premises are nice, and i am willing to drive there as the ride is more peaceful then passing through marathon.

BUT

the customer service is horrendous, the employees are generally grumpy.

the computer system, which is separate from marathon, has too many wrong prices or denies the advertised promotion prices. i just proceed to leave the products there or have them voided because they are too incompetent to override the prices.

they will lose money on that.

despite the awful poorly maintaned parking lot at marathon, the employees are always nice.
