despite the merits, or demerits of all these questions, there is no question about granting citizenship to the children of one bahamian parent only.

the spousal permit is mentioned almost begrudgingly.

perhaps if the children of a bahamian woman married to a foreigner and those of the unmarried bahamian man who mated with a foreigner were given a sure path to citizenship then those born to the migrants would not outnumber them.

Remember, if the bahamians continue to interbreed, they might also become extinct through increased rates of cancer and other diseases.

more than likely these in-house fellas sit around saying it is not their job, but rather the contractor job.

natural persons are human beings
artificial persons are corporations

is this liberalisation of the presence of natural persons work permit relaxation?

and it seems the liberalisation to be offered is the removal of restrictions in areas reserved for bahamians. Tell that to the businessmen in those areas.

Manaus, in Brazil, was modeled as a duty = free zone and is a Freeport copycat. The govt offers no giveaways such as land or VAT exemption, yet it generates oozes of money for the govt.

It is duty free for everyone, but you have to travel there to buy perfume, or liquor or electronics. But you have to get there, in the middle of the jungle.

This thing was modeled after freeport and has bested it many times over, look it up at wikioedia.

Suppose Bahamians could go to Freeport to shop for duty free things, yes, it would boom.

Bahamian manufacturers could also thrive if they did not have to pay duty on packaging and could enjoy reduced electricity rates. More Bahamian manufacturers would appear as well.

No, very few countries at this time give citizenship by birth.
USA and a few south and central american countries only. USA will come after you to pay taxes and the south americans make voting mandatory or they take away citizenship.

india stopped giving citizenship by birth.

however, most countries allow their citizens to pass their citizenship to their children-- the Bahamas law is discriminatory to unmarried men and to women married to foreign men.

do you remember the halcyon days when you paid for gas AFTER they put it in the car? Now you prepay, and with the new chip cards you have to go to the window to pay.
