Many years ago, electric golf carts were all the rage in Abaco. They were costly. Now their resale value is low, and people selling will tell you they need thousands of dollars worth of batteries.
The solar power is also a ruse. The sales people do not tell us about long term costs.
In Spain , people were induced to invest in Solar energy to sell it to the govt. Then a new govt cut out the purchase and brought ruin to many.
At least here BPL refuses to pay and compels you to buy their energy. Lol.
> Commander Bertram Bowleg, acting Road Traffic controller, believes the country should move in the direction of Europe where bicycles are the main mode of transportation in The Netherlands.
I will let Mr. Bertram go first. Cruising at 90F and 95% humidity down Independence drive. He would not last a day.
I once considered a business making jellies and preserves. But the glass containers were subject to 40% duty, and it is heavy to ship.
While mine was to be made with cane sugar, I would not be able to beat the commercial product made with high fructose corn syrup which is imported duty free.
the tariff on packaging is ridiculous. For example, bottles and jars. You wouild think that reduced duties on those would encourage local people to produce bottled products.

You ixpect me to believe that?

You ixpect me to believe that.
If that were true, then supervalue would start a dairy farm.

Unlike the price controlled items, their margin is not fixed by a percentage.
So, if you are a dealer and buy gas at 5.00, your price at the pump is 5.45. So your profit margin is 9%.
If you buy the gas at 8.00, your price at the pump is 8.45. So your profit is 0.45÷8 or 5.6%.
Now let's look at the eggs, the margin is fixed by percentage, 10%. If you buy eggs for 5 dollars you sell at 5.50.
If you buy eggs for 8 dollars, you sell for 8.80.
So yes, like Tribanon says, the margin for tha dealer is set by amount and not percentage.
