@Sickened: I was told by a law student that Brave Davis was instrumental in the case that went to the Privy Council which put us in this position concerning the death penalty. He also told me that the convicted murderer who got the reprieve ,did his time and you guessed it, was subsequently convicted for another one.
With no mention of further investigations to find the source of the passport issuance, would make one deduce that it was obtained from a vending machine.
I don't know why someone would think that a bomb scare that caused the evacuation of the main power plant, street blockage in parts of the Industrial Area, traffic diversion and an island wide power outage for almost 5 hours, should not be considered newsworthy.
The U.S. might be tightening immigration requirements on the Bahamas based on past racist rhetoric that emanated from our present Minister of Foreign Affairs himself and his political party.
Financial reviews should not be done selectively ,but should encompass all relevant areas .I am certain if one was done on N.I.B. pension it would say that an increase is sorely needed ,in fact half to no truth lying Brave promised one prior to the last general election. He said that he would increase pensions and reduce vat if elected. What he actually did was to reduce vat ,but put it back on breadbasket items and increased pension for people who were in a pension scheme where they did not have to contribute. Many people whom I spoke with were under the impression that he was talking about N.I.B.
Priest Marcus said that he has been locked up more than once and he has had his locks cut three times. I don't know of many other so called priests who have been in jail that many times. With all the hair the gentlemen have covered in the photo, it would be easy to hide a barber razor in their locks .Cut them off for the safety of the other inmates.
A couple of us commented on Brent's reporting just a few days ago . Come on Brent . You mean' birth defect' and and has' not'. I am wondering whether I should continue reading the article. I hope these comments are viewed by Tribune management sometimes.
I agree wholeheartedly. I have commented on Brent previously myself .For a veteran sports writer he really leaves much to be desired ,as I read the article to the end to try and find out the same things that you were looking for.
