YEAH ! That is the new Bahamas, all we care about is money,to hell with morals and christian principles. We could also make all illegal drugs legal in the Bahamas, that would even bring in more money ! let's go bahamas!
Just reviewing this article again,i googled "Golden Point Road" and found out that it is situated in Fortune Bay,Lucaya. Ms. Mir said that they had a boat docked in the back of their yard on the canal. Court documents show that the property consisted of five lots.If all of them are canal lots ,i wish Brave was my brother because i would ask him for just one of them, because vacant lots there sell for $250,000 each.WOW!
Over time i have been impressed with what i have seen and heard concerning Dr. Sands and i too believe he would do a good job as leader of this country. From what i have seen he has great organisational skills and is a very clear and knowledgeable thinker and his profession makes him one who is "calm under fire" and capable of making the hard decisions, attributes that are, in my opinion ,quite necessary for leading a country and not evident in our present prime minister. The thing that i find missing in him however, is charisma, which personally of no concern to me ,a mature individual, but more important to the masses, who value it over intelligence, work ethics and knowledge ,leadership, etc Politics remind me of a your lady who is being courted by two men, one with and affable and gregarious character, full of laughter , fun and party ,offering her a ride in a nice car that has with a huge loan and practically broke and the other suitor, quite mannerly, respectful, has a car that is not flashy and speaks of plans for the future.---- We all know whom she will choose.
Paul Thompson is one of the few letter writers who, in my opinion is always spot on and what he says makes sense. I always think it a waste of time for our political leaders to entertain Martelly, but i understand why they do ..It speaks volume of our inept immigration policies, when our leaders feel compelled to do so because neither one of them wants to upset him, whereby he tells Haitians who are naturalized not to vote for their respective party. The sad thing about this is that they are now Bahamians, but have more respect for the Haitian leader than ours, that's why he is always laughing, because he knows he has them by the balls and they don't want him to squeeze. Haiti's biggest export for the last 60 years has been PEOPLE, who in turn remit vast sums of money . For him to stop illegal immigration is akin to Saudi Arabia stopping oil export.
You should know by now generallycrazy that even if she was a whore , he chose to marry her, which made her a wife.I am not one to get personal and i hope that you are not that way either, but even in our little society, some women who started out just as this one did are now highly respected members here and what happened to her also happened to many poor blacks here, who inherited extremely valuable property ,some even beachfront, but when the lawyers, many who are black, saw these "ignorant over-the -hill persons" they made sure that they got just enough money to buy a car to park in front of their clapboard house.
Generalcrazy, you have picked an apt name because you have to be generally crazy and stupid too , because you have missed the crux of this matter. The WIDOW received $70,000 out of $10,000,000. Brave was given $500,000 so that he would be satisfied and then take care, honestly,of Ms. Mir, who needed an interpreter due to her lack of knowledge of the English language .Both Brave and Shurland were salivating when they found this out, typical lawyers,i surmise and she probably signed it all away thinking these learned gentlemen, so astute in their noble profession, would surely take care of a naive lady such as she,and they certainly did!
This is good news, the increased population, but for general knowledge and good reporting , this article should have at least mentioned the names of the other five islands that used to have parrots because i do not know them.
I have blogged on this subject before and was extremely critical of the prime minister, but i have had a change of heart, albeit temporarily, depending on the result that i obtain. Hear me on this: almost three years ago i was called in by my supervisor and told that the new early retirement age ,which previously was at sixty, has been reduced to fifty seven, which i was at the time and that it was voluntary. I told him that my last son had one more year in high school, with college to follow ,so i therefore was not prepared to accept it at that time (understandable i think). He said that if i wanted to stay it was okay ,since it was completely voluntary.Within ten days,i was called to the office and told that i was being laid off and was given my severance package. Fast forward to 2014, son in college, unemployed, funds dwindling rapidly and this Ishmael Lightbourne thing came up. a light was born in my head! I have a relative who knows the PM personally! I will tell her to call the PM and inform him of my predicament ! one phone call and i would have my job back ! wow! All she has to do is remind this swellheaded guy who he is and that he can do all things and also remind him of his middle initial .He would then smile ,stick his nose up in the air and say, "yes, Perry God Christie."
This" birdiestrachan " just doesn't get it , just like most of the PLP diehards, saying that the banker could have said no. CWS wanted to say no but couldn't .Do you think an individual banker could? We always think of ourselves as the best, in worldly standards, but we never apply those standards to ourselves.Could you imagine if President Obama had made a similar call and proceeded to go on television and boast about it? Please send me some responses fellow bloggers. .

I would say that as great a man as Mr. Moxey was , he showed the same shortsightedness
that most of us have: he recruited Perry Christie.
