Yeah I’m so over public adverts disguised as donations. Give and let the recipients sing your praises if they so choose. This currently accepted practice of shouting your good deeds to the public with photo ops is truly sickening. The difficulty is at the end of the day the recipients truly need it so it is for them a net positive.
great idea, happy to see a young entrepeneur’s idea come to fruition. not sure why the political parasites need to be in the picture, but suffer it to be so, I guess they need to convince us of their relevance.
Speculation in a public forum on such a tragedy in our small community is not warranted. I suggest we join in public expressions of sympathy and leave the frivolous speculation for private discussions.
Still waiting for a journalist to put Philip Davis front & center with a question as to his claims that put the spotlight on this lady and had her dragged around under arrest. Claims that have been at long last proven unfounded and false... why let him off the hook? What they scared of?
They aren't articles, they are regurgitations. An article actually describes a situation, its potential impact on the local area/reader, and contributing factors... it gives insight and coloration on a situation, system or thing.... this, this was just an ad and a blurb. Oh what i would give for Larry Smith level journalism.
Can personally confirm that Ministry of Works enforcement is non-existent, had two separate, blatant violations in my immediate vicinity, one quite dangerous, the MOW officers didnt want to be bothered, had to go there 3 times to get one to finally scribble down my complaint on scrap paper.. no formal logging into any computerized system to enable follow-up, just pathetic and laughable. Needless to say both projects finished building despite the piece of 'cease & desist' yellow paper one guy came out and stuck on it after it was already completed. They're useless and do not take their role seriously..... tell you what though, I'm now going to do whatever the hell I want on my properties, come say something to me....
