The money spent on the NPIP was the best ting that ever happened for the roads in Nassau. Inspite of the inconveniences and business failures and cost over runs while the project was in progress the results were well worth it. The writer was accused of micro manageing every thing in his government but if micro management gets timely results for the government money, then that is what may be needed today. ..Nice historical perspective.of the NPIP

**"New vehicles valued at $50,000 or less, and with an engine size between 1.5 litres and two litres, will enjoy a 20 percentage point drop in their excise tax rate from the existing 65 percent to 45 percent".**
This should apply to ALL cars comming into the country NEW and those less than five years old and also remove the 200 mileage limit.

Why is Baha Mar not unionized ?????. What does the Chinese owners and management have to do with not allowing the 6000 plus employees at that property to join the bhcawu ???? Their is power in numbers. Any strike vote and possible strike would convince the hotel Employers that Bahamians are serious people and will not accept the elimination of prior benefits.

Sad that Canadian writer TR Todd can get rich of the swimming pigs attraction that is authentically Bahamian from his book deal “Pigs of Paradise. and film of the same name.I hope he finds it in his heart to donate some funds to Bahamian charities. Bahamian writers have fallen asleep.

You have described the myriad of problems thats taking place daily in south andros and most family islands in the Bahamas. No dought these problems are only a tip of the iceberg. South Andros has been cursed under the PLP for over 25 years while Sir LOP was prime minister so it does not surprise me that the present opposition MP is so worthless as he is trying to survive himself personally and his hands are tied.Where slackness thrives in a community the mindset of the people become complacent. .Third world mentality.
