The Government needs to send this company Challenger Energy Group, the former Bahamas Petroleum Company (BPC) and its greedy shareholders a clear message that there will be no further oil drilling in the Bahamas. What do they not understand .PM Davis has been all over the world speaking as a climate change advocacy. I hope the incoming FNM government would not be weak on this issue....Tell this company in no uncertain terms to go away. The Bahamas values its pristine waters, Tourism, and carbon credits more than this fossil fuel exploitation company.
The **IMF** asked the Bahamas government to re classify the 37 million dollars spent last November to join the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean **(CAFF)** and change it to an Investment from an expenditure, that explains the 37 million deficit reduction from the 24 - 25 budget year, allowing the Government to overshoot its 2024-2025 full-year deficit target by just $9.1m thanks to last-minute revisions
Ms Chan and Mr Au ....your'll sound like them Chinese who selling liquor through the window, and using convenience stores to sell liquor ...well the new amendments are long overdue. Take your walkup and drive through liquor windows back to china.
All the talk about the economy doing good and gov cant pay one simple increase now. They have to wait until December until when the tourism numbers increase.... who fooling who ....SMT
Take ya time Doc Darville. because Bahamian taxpayers will seemingly have to shoulder 96 percent of the second New Providence hospital's $2.2bn-plus revenue needs via Public Hospitals Authority (PHA) subsidies over a 30-year period.....The new FNM government will **Stop Review and Cancel** this hospital when they get in power next year. ....you are building this for the Haitian children says doc Sands ....this too expensive ....The FNM will go back to Minnis PMH expansion plans
Stop blabber mouthing and take the steps to toughen our visa laws like ASAP. You can start by limiting Bahamas Air to one flight per week to Haiti. This Haitian problem is now more important than Grand Bahama Airport and the Grand Lucayan deal. Sometimes you need to speak to these issues with more urgency and a serious facial expression. This is not an issue to clown around with.
It is not a nice feeling to go inside these centrally located food stores and the only person speaking English is the cashiers , All the shoppers around speaking Creole .. Shame on these leaders
