All 5 firetrucks inoperable because the gov't has no $$ to pay for maintenance and that's just the story in one settlement's fire station?!

Davis&Co have been in power for less than 3 1/2 years and the cupboard is bare.
We keep hearing about increased $$ from a continuous rise in tourists stays and arrivals, new business etc etc.
So how come the national debt is outpacing our GDP and we're not in the throes of a pandemic?

And Doctors, healthcare workers, teachers, public service, airline workers etc. await benefits and $$ promised so they can pay their bills, feed their families.
What did one expect except empty and unfulfilled promises, unfunded social service programs and public works projects

Bahamian SOEs are broke, two of BahamasAir ATR-42s are grounded because PWC refuses to release their engines until Davis&Co pay their invoice.

Meanwhile embarrassingly flights at Christmas on Flightaware & FlightStats showed as being flown with tail numbers from 3 of the grounded planes. One would have to wait til shortly before takeoff to see them finally cancelled, but they were scheduled again the next day

The original no exemption list was a gift to retailers certainly not the people of the Bahamas.

The current government has failed to fund/start/staff any meaningful program to better the lives they’re sworn to safeguard.
In fact their only success stories is limited to their corruption of every institution designed to uplift the Bahamas out of it’s reputation as a failed nation state.

And no ties that link Johnson to the larger crimes of corruption, and conspiracy to steal over $1M?

The problem with disparaging a man like Duane Sands, “he can never see anything good and worthy about the Bahamas” is that he’s educated at the most prestigious US universities, Tufts and John Hopkins, he could practice anywhere but he came back here to establish the first heart surgery program in the Bahamas and here is where he practices-on Bahamians and all else who wander in needing his care.

What Dr Sands doesn’t come out and say is that the AG lied about former PM Christie and his ‘advisor’ Sir Beltron’s substantial role in the demise of Mr Izmirilian’s endeavour the Baha Mar project.
In the judgement handed down the judge states the frauds perpetrated by CCA etc etc., (and one of those ‘etc’ is the Bahamas gov’t, former PM Christie and tag team of Beltron and Leslie Bethel) directly caused that project to fail to meet substantial completion.

That they lied repeatedly, promising an opening of March 27, 2015 when they had in fact been in negotiations with said ‘advisors’ and gov’t since at least 2014 for the manner in which they’d take over the project and seem to cause Izmirlian to default.

It’s all there in discovery and direct testimony of the CCA principal Tiger Wu.

The monies paid to the Bethels from 2014 on, there’s the email to Liu of CCA from the good sir after CCA missed the date and were shaking Izmirlian down for more $$.

Birdie is a prime example of the problem here in the Bahamas, nobody will admit to the fundamental lack of concern over their own unethical acts, and/or those of their family, their pol party, their Church-their Pastor who flies round in his helicopter (the cost of which would keep how many families fed?)
Then it’s a plot agin them, agin black people, political shenanigans, the excuses are endless, shameful.and unacceptable.

How can any Bahamian who refuses to govern their own unethical behavior, find the wherewithal to preach to anyone? What to they possess besides their own self entitlement for which to “stand tall”?

If one is not a positive example to their community, children and/or nation are they not then hypocrites?

How can you teach your children about God’s love when you act in hatred to your neighbors?Teach them self regulation and reliance when their parents do not, tell them to act morally, do not steal when…?

We’re all sinners right?
So how is it that in this country that we’re all ‘walking tall’?
That we’re not concerned enough about our reputation to actually live our faith but expend our energies in lying and denying to burnish that reputation and not earn it?
Stand tall indeed, self inflated egos of hot air are hardly the stuff of good and true people.

And when will the people know when their government has given ‘clearance’ to investigate the appalling lack of simple human dignity the police bestowed upon Adriel and her Mother, so heinous in fact their lack likely criminally contributed to her death..
