If this Gov't cannot even pay the rank and file of workers at the AA, if they cannot pay healthcare workers while they play shell games with promises unfulfilled, how the heck are they going to build two hospitals?

It would appear Madam Speaker like so many of her colleagues missed the class on decorum, parliamentary procedures and let’s throw in the art of politics 101!

We all know if folks with say high blood pressure, diabetes etc do not contract Covid they likely wouldn’t be in hospital.
There just isn’t any pressure from this government to get folks vaccinated. And the protocols they speak of have long b are b abandoned.

Sandals is undergoing a renovation, there have been numerous complaints about the conditions, notably the lack of reliable service from water heaters, A/C etc
Persons from 2 different villas visited the clinic complaining of a number of symptoms inc shortness of breath and were treated with oxygen.
Thereafter they felt well enough to return to the resort.
Their symptoms are common with Carbon Monoxide poisoning.
Obviously whomever saw them at the clinic is incompetent.
And Sandals has not shut down the non renovated rooms/villas, nor has the MOH shut them down,

This guy was sentenced to nine years in 2014, if his behaviour has been so reprehensible why was he let out early only to re-offend less than a year later??
And who is going to be monitoring him in a country that cannot even find accused murderers, rapists etc etc that now roam the streets???

Sadly those will cost dearly.

Davis is deliberately upending the processes of government, he seeks to ensure that when this investigation is through- if ever, it’s findings will be buried and/or discarded.
Once again he’s proven himself incapable of governing.
Indeed his sole leadership value lies at the head of common rabble rousers and gossip mongers.
Bahamian citizens do not need this kind of Trumpian drama and skullduggery, they need effective governance.
This ain’t it folks.

The police & gov’t have always worked this way, just look at previous cases, the parents and/or victims have little power in the Bahamas.
Sandals has remained open throughout their renovations, renting out rooms described as substandard, ie filthy, no A/C etc. ( perhaps they should be thankful) and during the recent ‘unfortunate incidence’ no one in mgt addressed the deaths at the resort to guests then or since.

What did it take in concessions to supposedly get the buyer to pay $35M over the previous proposed sale?
Electra has announced they do not intend to start on this property refurbishment until ‘sometime next year’ and they want to see a serious commitment from the government on renovating FPO…
