Yes, I always remember Martin Niemoller's famous words. "Then they came for me-and there was no one left to speak for me". I already believe the PLP/Minister Mitchell are fans of Nazi Germany's way of doing things, and Mitchell's words enforce that belief even more. They are all power hungry and believe you must believe what they believe. Would not be the least bit surprised if next they do start to take away passports of Bahamians who dare to question them.
Asian cultures do not respect females and sure won't sit down with them to discuss business/deals. Don't y'all know that?! Replace Attorney General Allyson Maynard-Gibson as the 'head honcho' with a male, and the people in China might be interested in meeting. I am a 1000% feminist and believe in equal opportunities for all sexes, but you really have to know the country & culture you're dealing with. Sheer stupidity that the Bahamas would return to China with a female in charge; China must think we're 'weak'.
Sounds like MP Mitchell only wants the elite to have passports. Only they will be able to afford the ridiculous fee he will recommend. Soon the average Bahamian won't be able to be a passport holder, yet it's needed for so many things.
The more MP MItchell talks, especially about Loftus Roker and those "good ol' days" the more I believe we're going backwards. The thing is, they're so proud of themselves. So many of these UK trained Caribbean & African leaders all seem to think the same way.
