Wasn't one of those 'Bahamian fellas' in another story in last week's tribune about the disappearance of a Western Air plane? It went missing from a 'secure' area of the airport and I think it was eventually found in Venezuela.

So were they lost?

As a Bahamian female I'd like to 'thank' PM Christie for really screwing things up for Bahamian females for eternity. Now if not enough people vote he will say, "oh, the people don't want a change" etc. I am disgusted that the future of this country is in the the hands of a man who has no idea of what he is doing--but surely loves the sound of his own voice. we are doomed!

"A country of 700 islands, rocks and cays". Why not develop a Prison Island? Why is HMS Prison even located in what is now a residential area of eastern New Providence? Move the entire complex to another island. Build some dorms for staff, who will be based there for six months. The post can come with extra salary as an incentive. So much can be done with this idea. Think Bahamas!

If the project took "several months to complete" how come an honouree who I know, had not received an invitation as of Sunday, July 6th or even knew where the event was to be held. Someone did call him to ask if he knew any relatives of other honourees and how to contact them. So much for organization.

We drove by this group on Shirley Street today. Wondered what was going on. Union man was also there (the one formerly from BTC who had Bay Street all blocked up a few years ago.)

I met Sir Etienne once. He remembered serving in WWI with my grandfather, Samuel A. Smith.
