Could hardly believe what I was hearing when I heard him speak these words on Cable 12 News. He couldn't even look the reporter in the eye when he made those idiotic remarks! Do any of them even think before they open their mouths?
editor: Please send a team down to Andros to see for yourself what is going on, and what the project looks like so far. Be sure to take tons of photos and talk with people who are supposed to be working there. For all we know, this could be an overgrown piece of untouched land.
Seems like rapists only get long harsh sentences when the victim is male. Many females are victims of rape, assault, murder etc.and rarely do their attackers receive such strong sentences. Many female victims are blamed for what happened to them ("look how she was dressed", "why she was out that time of night" etc) but if you are accused of male/male rape you don't stand a chance in this country.
Have you noticed the previous winners of this Spelling Bee in Washington, DC? Most of them have been of East Indian descent. Saw a programme sometime back about the language/spelling abilities of Indian students. About time we get on board; maybe we can win with her.
I hope everyone involved in this Reparations Group realizes who is selling these females for $12 in the marketplace: their own people! After so many years this is still going on, and would not have continued in the first place if one group wasn't willing to sell another for a few $$$$.
What does graduating @ 16/17 have to do with anything? Eighteen is a legal adult not 16 or 17. Females, carry your own $$$$, a cell-phone with minutes on it and an ID of some sort. Ever heard of the Date Rape drug? Someone with a smiling friendly face slips in into your drink and you wake up with no memory of whatever happened. Don't be so naive/trusting/stupid! Males, you don't have to 'conquer' every female. Walk away. Use the head on your shoulders, or you could find yourself doing the Bank Lane Shuffle.
Excellent news for Bahamian youth! Hopefully we can expect to see even more Bahamian swimmers competing and winning. Also, couldn't help but notice the rewards matter banner behind them. I hope this government will REWARD with these young people with some FUNDS or LAND--not another cell phone. Past/present governments are quick to reward the track athletes; I hope these youngsters, and others with different interests, are also encouraged and rewarded.
Excellent! More of our Bahamian youngsters should be swimming. Congratulations to the athletes, coaches, officials and parents. I hope they are acknowledged by the government as well with money or LAND.
